<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A man in St. Charles, Missouri has been arrested, accused of shooting dead his wife after having an argument .<br>Aaron Guilliams, 31, has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the killing of 34-year-old Crystal Hanshew.<br>The pair both from St. Cloud, near Minneapolis, had been married for just eight months. <br>The shooting took place on Sunday night, just before midnight. <br>Police arrived on scene to find Hanshew suffering from a single gunshot wound. <br>Guilliams is said to have explained to police that they began arguing in the hallway of their home in the moments before the shooting according to <a rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" href="https://people.com/crime/man-accused-fatally-shooting-new-wife-argument/">People.</a></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">According to a police probable cause statement, Guilliams told police that while he and Hanshew argued in the hallway of their home on Sunday night, she was &#8220;flailing her arms&#8221; and struck him in the face.<br>He then went to their bedroom and retrieved a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol and confronted his wife.<br>Guilliams allegedly told Hanshew he never should have married her and pointed the gun at her face.<br>Hanshew allegedly told Guilliams that he wouldn&#8217;t pull the trigger. He then fired a shot to her face and fatally wounding his wife, according to the probable cause statement. <br>He is currently behind bars in lieu of $500,000 bond at St. Charles County Jail. He reportedly, is yet to enter pleas to the charges laid against him. </p>
