<p class="wp-block-paragraph">An aspiring Instagram influencer has been detained on suspicion of killing her mother by cutting out her heart and other organs while she was still alive in the Moldovan city of Comrat.<br>The suspect, a medical student, gouged out the internal organs including her lungs and intestines with a kitchen knife, it is alleged.<br>Anna Leikovic, from Moldova, then calmly took a shower and went to meet her boyfriend.<br>The woman, from Comrat, is &#8216;suspected of a terrible crime,&#8217; reported Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, citing police.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">According to local media reports , she initially stabbed her mother Praskovya Leikovic, 40, who remained alive, it is alleged.<br>&#8216;She stabbed her mother with a knife and then cut out the heart of a living woman,&#8217; the police source reportedly said.<br>The suspect &#8216;decided to rip the heart out of the chest of a dying woman.<br>&#8216;It is hard to believe but she cut out the heart in the most literal sense of the word.&#8217;<br>The medical student with 9,400 followers appeared in court after being detained the following day.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Anna Leikovic, a ;medical student with 9,400 followers on Instagram, was believed to be on drugs by her mother, according to reports. Apparently unperturbed, the alleged killer can be seen in video footage laughing while appearing in court. ;<br>Quizzed by a journalist on whether she had killed and mutilated her mother she laughed and responded: &#8216;Goodbye.&#8217;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Reports say that the suspect&#8217;s mother had come home from working in Germany and believed her daughter was on drugs.<br>She had arranged treatment for Anna who became angry. But her uncle Vladimir denied that the trainee medic had been put in rehab.<br>The uncle said: &#8216;This was a very good family. Praskovya loved her daughter so much, and she spent as much time with her as she could.<br>&#8216;It took two hours for the police to tell me Anna is the main suspect. I could not even imagine this.&#8217;<br>Police spokeswoman Lyubov Yanak said: &#8216;The detainee is the main suspect.<br>&#8216;There is no likelihood of other suspects. A thorough investigation is required to clarify the motive for the murder.&#8217;</p>
