<p class="wp-block-paragraph">An Oklahoma man jailed for allegedly killing a 67-year-old relative and his 4-year-old granddaughter earlier this month is now being investigated in connection with the murder of a third victim, a woman found dead on same day and street.<br>Lawrence Anderson has been behind bars in Grady County Jail since Feb. 9, when he was arrested on charges of first-degree murder, maiming, and assault and battery with a deadly weapon in the stabbing deaths Leon Pye and Pye’s granddaughter Kaeos Yates. <br>Anderson had only been released a few weeks earlier, after receiving a commuted sentence on a 2017 conviction for having a gun and smuggling drugs into jail, <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://kfor.com/news/local/chickasha-double-murder-now-a-triple-murder-investigators-believe-suspect-killed-another-woman-on-same-street/" target="_blank">KFOR </a>reported.<br>The 42-year-old suspect was identified as his victim, Leon Pye’s nephew. On Thursday it was announced that he was also being investigated in connection with the death of Andrea Blankenship who lived on the same street as the Pyes.<br>The third fatality, 41-year-old Andrea Blankenship was found dead in her Chickasha home on the same day. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Police responded to the Pye home in Chickasha after a person called 911, and then immediately hung up, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said in a<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=3628295967219567&;id=143857662330099" target="_blank"> press release</a>. <br>When they arrived on the scene, officers could immediately hear someone calling for help inside the residence and forced entry.<br>They found four people wounded inside the residence, including Anderson, who was identified as “the person who inflicted the injuries to the Pyes and Yates.”</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Both Pye and his granddaughter were pronounced dead on the scene. A fourth victim, Kaeos’s grandmother Delci Pye, who was also stabbed in the eye, survived the attack. She is recovering in the hospital. <br>OSBI officials said on Thursday they now have evidence that Anderson killed Blankenship before he killed Leon Pye and Kaeos and stabbed Delci Pye.<br>Blankenship&#8217;s cousin, Brooke Burris Wofford, said she was a single mother of two who lived alone and worked from her home, located on the same street as where the other deadly attack occurred. <br>“We want to know why this monster who is dangerous was released,” Wofford said. <br>Her family said they are not aware of any connection or relationship she may have had with her alleged killer as her daughter said: “My mom’s life was taken too early,” Haylee Blankenship wrote on a <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/andrea-blankenships-memorial-service?utm_source=customer&;utm_medium=sms&;utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet">GoFundMe page</a> seeking donations to help cover funeral costs for 41-year-old victim. Her family has repeatedly demanded answers in the slaying, which they say was carried out by a man who should never have been let out of prison early.”</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Anderson has also previously served time in prison after a 2006 conviction for attacking and pointing a gun at his girlfriend, as well as a 2012 conviction for selling crack cocaine near an elementary school.<br>He was released from prison for a third time on Jan. 18. <br>“We want to know why this monster, who was dangerous, was released,” Blankenship’s cousin, Brooke Burris Wofford, told the outlet.<br>“We need some more answers We’ve lost a part of our heart that we will never get back”<br>When Anderson requested a hearing for commutation,, his probation and parole officer had warned that he remained a threat to both himself and society. Still, the pardon and parole board granted his commutation 3-1. <br>It was stated by Anderson that he would be living in Texas with his daughter and working in the oil field at the time. His address was later changed to his aunt and uncle’s home in Chickasha.<br>He now faces multiple charges, but official charges have not been filed yet because of severe weather and related closings.</p>
