<p class="wp-block-paragraph">NYPD officers conducting a wellness check at an apartment in the Woodside Houses on 51st Street and 32nd Avenue Thursday afternnon walked into a scne out of a horror movie<br>The home owner, a new momr was taken into custody after her two infant twins were found dead inside the Queens apartment on Thursday afternoon &#8211; one with a knife sticking out of his head.<br>Officers with the New York Police Department discovered the six-week-old infants, Dakota Bentley and his twin sister Dallis Bentley, had been murdered inside the Woodside Houses on 51st Street and 32nd Avenue. <br>Cops walked into the double-infanticide after a relative had requested a wellness check on the family at the City Housing Authority (NYCHA) building in Woodside, Queens.<br>he caller, a cousin to the children&#8217;s mother told police the 23-year-old woman did not sound right when they spoke on the phone and requested a wellness check for the babies.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When police showed, the 23-year-old mother was home and appeared agitated, sources said. <br>&#8216;I do not want them,&#8217; She reportedly told arriving officers, <br>&#8216;I can&#8217;t take it anymore.&#8217; <br>Police first found Dakota Bentley, inside a bedroom crib with a knife sticking out of his head.<br>When officers enquired about the female twin, “She pointed towards the sink,” NYPD Housing Chief David Barrere said at a Thursday night press briefing.<br>Following the mother’s direction, police found Dallis Bently wrapped in a pink blanket under the kitchen sink, authorities said.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">An EMS paramedic pronounced both the both and the girl dead.<br>Police recovered a knife at the scene and brought the mother in for questioning, but she has not yet been charged. <br>The mother &#8211; who has not yet been identified &#8211; does not appear to have any criminal history, according to police.<br>The Administration for Children&#8217;s Services is also investigating the death of the twins.<br>Neighbors said the woman had just moved into the apartment last month..<br></p>
