A manhunt is underway for gunman in deadly NJ mass shooting, at a house party in New jersey attended by 100 guests. At Least 14 people were shot, leaving at least two people dead and a dozen injured, according to reports Sunday. 
Police were called to the mansion in Cumberland County shortly before midnight Saturday following reports of gunfire. At least 14 were shot, with six people requiring hospital treatment as a result. 
One of those killed is said to have been a 30 year-old man, with the other victim a 25 year-old woman.
The female victim was identified as Asia Hester, a “hardworking” healthcare staffer who came to the US from Jamaica, according to her grieving family and social media.

Hester, 25, was shot dead along with 30-year-old Kevin Elliot at a birthday barbecue in southern Fairfield Township, Cumberland County, violence that some of the party attendees said stemmed from a long-simmering local turf war.
Officers were called to a home on E. Commerce Street in Fairfield Township, Cumberland County around 11:50 p.m. Saturday.
A dozen other people were wounded, several with life-threatening injuries, in the gunfire that erupted at the 1990s-themed birthday party with hundreds of guests in a mansion in Fairfield Township just minutes before midnight Saturday, New Jersey State Police said. The location is about 50 miles south of Philadelphia.

More than one hundred people were at that home for a party at the time, officials said. Residents say the trouble started when people from a neighboring party showed up to the home. That’s when rapid gunfire rang out.
As mourners packed Asia Hester’s family home less than a mile from the shooting scene Sunday, her weeping sister, Crystal, said, “I talked to her yesterday before she went [to the party].
“She didn’t deserve this,’’ the shattered sibling said.
A male relative decried the senseless bloodshed.
“She was a hardworking person. She was a good person, very respectable,” he said of Hester.
Her uncle said she was a ‘good girl’, adding that he was ‘absolutely heartbroken’ by her killing.  
Six people were taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden with one said to be critically ill, CNN reports.  
New Jersey Police said Sunday that no arrests have been made, and that there is currently no motive for the shooting.

Gruesome video posted to social media showed panicked scenes of the shooting’s aftermath, with some people gathered around bleeding victims lying on the ground while others raced to get away.
Partygoers ran through neighboring yards, looking for places to hide, and cars crashed into each other as drivers tried to speed away.
“Oh my God, he’s gone,” a woman could be heard wailing as police officers performed chest compressions on a bloodied victim.
“Why? Why?” another woman shrieked as she knelt next to a motionless body.

New Jersey state police tweeted: ‘On Sat., May 22, at 11:50 p.m., NJSP responded to a residence on E. Commerce St. in Fairfield Twp., Cumberland Co. for the report of a shooting with multiple victims. 
‘Troopers are on scene investigating. There is no additional information at this time. Updates to follow.’

One neighbor to the said: ‘It was hundreds of people, our neighbors, who were just getting together because it was the first really warm, nice night. 
‘There were a lot of parties and get-togethers throughout the community, and this was probably the biggest.’
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy hit out at the shooter in a scathing statement.
He said: ‘Since late last night, the New Jersey State Police and county and local law enforcement in Cumberland County have been investigating the horrific mass shooting at a large house party in Fairfield Township that attracted hundreds of party-goers.
Police could be seen searching the area with dogs over a large perimeter.
