<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The mother of accused Chicago cop killers allegedly kicked a hospital security guard in the groin and wrestled with police officers during her arrest after she barged into the hospital where one of her sons is being treated. <br>In one of three first-person Facebook live videos &#8211; posted under the name &#8216;Marsia Outofthebox Braidy&#8217; &#8211; a woman is heard telling nurses, &#8216;I want to see my son. Emonte Morgan.&#8217; <br>The woman in the video is presumably Evalena Flores, 41, who&#8217;s outfit and appearance in the videos match the mugshots.<br> Police said the videos are &#8216;of interest to our investigation.&#8217; <br>In the video, she&#8217;s seen running by nurses and yelling, &#8216;Monty! Monty!&#8217; and then yells, &#8216;Don&#8217;t touch me&#8217; when confronted by police and hospital security in the hallway. <br>Her sons, Emonte &#8216;Monty&#8217; Morgan, 21, and Eric Morgan, 22 have been charged with crimes connected to the fatal shooting of police officer Ella French, 29, on Saturday during a routine traffic stop in Chicago&#8217;s South Side. <br>Monty Morgan, is the alleged triggerman is charged with the murder of a peace officer, among others.<br>He is currently being treated in Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for injuries sustained during the shootout. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Flores said in a two-minute monologue video from her car that her boys&#8217; side of the story isn&#8217;t being told but said she couldn&#8217;t speak too much about it. &#8216;My boys are not monsters,&#8217; Flores said.<br>&#8216;I don&#8217;t believe a damn thing CPD (Chicago Police Department) says, and I can guarantee you this.<br>My boys were afraid. I&#8217;m afraid &#8230; We fear our police here. We don&#8217;t trust them.&#8217; <br> A second Facebook live video &#8211; which was less than a minute long &#8211; shows Flores going up the elevator. <br>The third Facebook Live video shows Flores&#8217;s hospital break-in attempt and engaging in a struggle with police and hospital security staff before she is cuffed and arrested. <br>Police and hospital security are heard in the video telling Flores over and over, &#8216;Stop. Please, stop.&#8217; She yells, &#8216;Let me see my son.&#8217; <br>The video goes dark for nearly a minute, but Flores is heard yelling, &#8216;Let me see my son&#8217; and &#8216;Monty, I love you.&#8217; </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When the video returns, the camera catches a glimpse of Flores in cuffs and records the conversation between the officers and Flores as they head out of the hospital, where she admits to having mace. <br>&#8216;Flores’s attempt was thwarted by the actions of two Chicago Police Officers and Christ Hospital Public Safety Officers who were on scene,&#8217; police said in a statement. <br>&#8216;As Flores attempted to push her way past the officers, she kicked a Christ Hospital Public Safety Officer in the groin. Flores continued to resist efforts to take her into custody while demanding to her son.&#8217; <br>She was charged with misdemeanor battery, resisting a peace officer and criminal trespass on Tuesday.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Flores&#8217; Facebook live videos were uploaded on Tuesday, the same day body camera footage and still images of Saturday&#8217;s fatal encounter was released. <br>She made her attempt as an eerie still taken from body camera footage worn by the victimized officers emerged showing the moments before Emonte opened fire on Chicago police during a traffic stop, killing French and critically wounding her partner. <br>Her partner, who&#8217;s name hasn&#8217;t been released, remains in the hospital in intensive care. <br>The haunting still from the bodycam footage shows Eric sitting in the driver&#8217;s seat as a cop looks into the car through the driver&#8217;s side window moments before his younger brother Emonte allegedly fires at the officers. <br>Emonte allegedly, has admitted to firing at police in a recorded court statement. </p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Surveillance footage shows police pull over the Morgan brothers. Eric Morgan is sitting in front with<strong> a female</strong> <strong>passenger</strong> <strong>during the traffic stop</strong>. </strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The bodycam video footage revelations were made as French&#8217;s heartbreaking final radio call to dispatchers was also published by Irish Angel &#8211; a nonprofit group founded to support law enforcement officers and their families. <br>During the radio call, an unidentified voice tells the dispatcher: &#8216;Officer down.&#8217; <br>This dispatcher then tells others to stay off the radio air while announcing that French had been shot at the intersection of 63rd Street and Bell Avenue. <br>A dispatcher informs police that the suspect was wearing a blue Chicago Cubs shirt &#8211; and the unidentified voice tells her to call for two ambulances.<br></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The bond hearing was held for the Morgan brothers on Tuesday before Cook County Judge Arthur Willis &#8211; though Emonte did not attend because he remains hospitalized from injuries sustained when a third officer returned fire.<br>Prosecutors said Emonte admitted to investigators that he pulled his handgun out of his waistband and opened fire. Willis ordered Emonte held without bond on charges of first-degree murder of a peace officer, attempted murder of two other officers, unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.<br>&#8216;They didn&#8217;t have their weapons drawn, they weren&#8217;t firing on him, and callously (Emonte) shoots and kills one, and the other is in critical condition,&#8217; the judge said.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cook County Assistant State&#8217;s Attorney James Murphy said cops had stopped the SUV because of expired plates.<br>The brothers initially followed officers&#8217; instructions, handing over the vehicle&#8217;s keys and getting out of the SUV. ; <br>But the situation escalated after Emonte refused to put down a drink and cellphone that he was holding, Murphy said. &#8216;He began physically jerking his arms away from the officers,&#8217; Murphy said. <br>Footage from police body cameras shows Emonte had a handgun tucked into his waistband, according to Cook County prosecutor. ;<br>As he struggled with police, he began firing several shots, striking French once in the head and a 39-year-old officer in the right eye, right shoulder and in his brain.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Both officers fell to the ground face up, their body cameras still recording, Murphy said. At one point, Emonte could be seen stepping over the 39-year-old wounded officer before stepping out of view. <br>In the meantime, Eric had run off during the struggle, and the third officer chased after him down, Murphy said. ;<br>When that officer heard gunshots, he ran back the scene of the traffic stop and exchanged gunfire with Monty before falling to the ground.</p>

The third officer got back up and shot at Monty again, hitting him in the abdomen. <br>Murphy said Monty gave a statement on video in which he admitted to drinking, having a gun and open firing on two officers. An initial court appearance is set for Aug. 16. <br>At a separate bond hearing Tuesday afternoon, a judge ordered Eric to be held without bond. ; <br>Eric, who authorities say was captured in a yard where he ran to dump his brother&#8217;s gun, is charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and obstruction of justice. <br>A third man, Jamel Danzy, 29, of Indiana, is charged with supplying the semiautomatic handgun used in the shooting. ; Danzy is accused of buying the weapon from a licensed gun dealer in Hammond, Indiana, in March and provided it to an Illinois resident who he knew could neither buy nor possess guns because of a felony conviction. <br>French was the first Chicago police officer to die from a gunshot in the line of duty in nearly three years.. ;</p>
