<p>Police in Orlando, Florida, have found the body of missing college student Miya Marcano. <br>The body was found Saturday morning in a wooded area near the dilapidated Orlando apartment complex where the man suspected of abducting her once lived. <br>&#8216;Our hearts are broken,&#8217; said the county sheriff.<br> &#8216;Hundreds of Orange County Sheriff&#8217;s Office personnel were committed to this case and working very hard. Everyone wanted this outcome to be different. <br>&#8216;As a community, as a father, we are grieving the loss of Miya. We can&#8217;t imagine the pain of Miya&#8217;s family, loved ones, friends and really our entire community has gone through,&#8217; Sheriff John Mina said.</p>

<p>Authorities have looking for Marcano since she disappeared from her apartment last Friday<br>She was last seen in her apartment on September 24. On September 30, the only suspect Armando Caballero was found dead in a suspected suicide in his apartment in Seminole County. <br>On Saturday, Miya&#8217;s body was found less than 20 miles away from her apartment in a wooded area around the Tymber Skan apartment complex. <br>The 19-year-old was found a little less than 20 miles from her Arden Villas apartment, where she went missing last Friday. <br>She left behind signs of a violent struggle, including bloodstains on a pillow. <br>Armando Caballero, 27, a maintenance worker in Marcano&#8217;s building with a key to her apartment, is the only suspect in the case, Mina said. </p>

<p>However, Caballero was found dead on Monday &#8211; He was found dead in his apartment in the neighboring Seminole County on September 30. <br>Caballero&#8217;s cellphone records put him at the Tymber Skan apartments &#8211; where he and his family once lived &#8211; for about 20 minutes between 8pm and 9pm the same day Marcano vanished from her apartment. <br>And nothing in the phone records ever indicated he returned prior to killing himself.<br>Police then used Caballero&#8217;s cellphone records to track his whereabouts, which eventually led the search party to Marcano&#8217;s body. <br>The sheriff said he and his department have already spoken to Marcano&#8217;s family. <br>&#8216;I&#8217;ve spoken to Miya&#8217;s family on a constant basis throughout this entire week, and so have our detectives, and their hope and their resolve was nothing short of amazing,&#8217; Mina said. <br>&#8216;Our heart goes out to them. &#8216; </p>

<p>According to the Orange County Sheriff&#8217;s Office, Marcano was last seen at around 5pm on September 24 at the Arden Villas apartments on Arden Villas Boulevard in Orlando, where she lives and works in the leasing office. <br>A cause of death will be determined after the autopsy, but Mina said he&#8217;s confident that they&#8217;ll be able to piece together what happened to Marcano. <br>At this point, Marcano said police know he entered her apartment around 4:30pm and was at Tymber Skan apartments, where her body was found, between 8pm and 9pm. <br>Marcano&#8217;s family said Miya, who attends Valencia College, was scheduled to catch a flight to Fort Lauderdale that night, but she never made it to the airport. <br>While her distraught family was looking for her last Saturday, they said they came across Caballero outside. <br>&#8216;He was trying to leave. His lights were off. He said, &#8220;Are you looking for Miya?&#8221; I said, &#8220;Who are you?&#8221; He said, &#8220;I’m the maintenance guy. I heard you’re looking for me,&#8221;&#8216; Marcano&#8217;s aunt Semone Westmaas told <a rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.the-sun.com/news/3770245/miya-marcano-suspect-chilling-encounter-revealed-maintenance-suspect/">The Sun.</a> <br></p>

<p>Marcano&#8217;s father, Marlon, then asked Caballero if he had been in contact with her, and her cousin Callie Sue said he appeared &#8216;quite nervous.&#8217; <br>Sue told the outlet that the interactions had seemed &#8216;weird&#8217; because they had not yet announced Marcano had disappeared. <br>That contact, the sheriff said during Saturday&#8217;s press conference, was the suspect&#8217;s way of throwing off police and Miya&#8217;s relatives off his trail. <br>On Friday night a few hundred people gathered in front of Marcano&#8217;s apartment in Arden Villas and prayed during during a candlelight vigil, not knowing the tragic news that would hit them less than 24 hours later. </p>

<p><br>Six months earlier, a woman living in the apartment complex had accused Caballero of throwing a weight through her window after she turned him down. <br>The 24-year-old woman told police she had been in her room late one night at the Sabal Club apartments when someone threw a weight through her window. <br>While she didn&#8217;t catch a glimpse of the suspect, she told deputies it was likely the building&#8217;s maintenance man, Armando, whom she had recently declined to go on a date with. <br>She said the man had previously written her a note asking her to go out on a date and she had agreed to go a few days later. But when he asked her to change the date to that same night, she changed her mind and turned him down.<br>But when he asked her to change the date to that same night, she changed her mind and turned him down. <br>Although deputies responded to the incident, ultimately the woman declined pressing charges and the ordeal was put down only as a &#8220;suspicious incident.&#8221; <br>Marcano vanished at around 5pm on September 24 at the Arden Villas apartments in Orlando, where she lives and works in the building&#8217;s leasing office. She was booked on a flight from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale to visit family later that night but never boarded the flight and stopped responding to her family&#8217;s messages. <br>Maintenance man Armando Caballero was known to be in possession of a master key that was used to enter Miya&#8217;s apartment at 4.30pm, around 30 minutes before she finished work and was last seen. <br>The morning after, Caballero was allegedly caught on camera carrying gloves and a blanket, as well as a backpack, out of his car before entering a building. <br>In the weeks prior, police say Caballero had repeatedly expressed &#8220;romantic interest&#8221; in Miya and was routinely rebuffed by the teen. <br>A family member said the maintenance man was &#8220;obsessed and infatuated&#8221; with the college sophomore, and &#8220;constantly&#8221; texted her despite her making it clear she was not interested. <br>Marcano reportedly, also told at least two of her friends that Caballero&#8217;s advances and his behavior made her uncomfortable.</p>
