<p>Surveillance footage shows RHOC star Elizabeth Vargas&#8217;s ex-boyfriend holding her hostage and threatening to kill her after she called police because he was extorting her over nude photos<br>Vargas, 46, was held up at gunpoint on Tuesday by her ex-boyfriend Ryan Geraghty<br>Geraghty has been extorting her over nude photographs since Christmas Eve. <br>Security footage from inside Elizabeth Lyn Vargas’ home shows the chilling moments during which her ex threatened her life. <br>The former “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star ;<a href="https://pagesix.com/2022/02/02/elizabeth-lyn-vargas-ex-arrested-barricades-himself-in-her-home/">faced off against Ryan Geraghty</a> ;inside her home last Tuesday, and now video ;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/02/07/elizabeth-lyn-vargas-rhoc-standoff-video-inside-home/" target="_blank">obtained by TMZ</a> ;reveals how he reacted once police officers and a SWAT team arrived. <br>“I’m taking you out and then everybody else,” Geraghty says. “They can shoot me if they want. I don’t give a f–k anymore. I’ve got nothing to lose.” <br>Obviously livid that Vargas, 46, had called the authorities, Geraghty, 33, says, “Bring the big boys. How f–king dare you.” </p>

<p>She warned him to be careful, saying she&#8217;d reported him to police. ;<br>He replied: &#8216;Bring the big boys, how f**king dare you.&#8217; ; <br>SWAT teams had, by this point, gathered outside the home &#8211; which Vargas&#8217;s sources say they were monitoring. ;<br>They eventually got inside the house, whisked her out to safety and arrested him. ;<br>Ryan Geraghty was arrested after he “was actively threatening the life of the victim,” according to the police report. <br></p>

<p>Ryan Geraghty was ultimately ;<a href="https://pagesix.com/2022/02/03/elizabeth-lyn-vargas-ex-ryan-geraghty-charged-after-break-in/">charged with</a> ;assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, felon in possession of a firearm and extortion, according to a press release by the Newport Beach Police Department. <br>Geraghty, a convicted felon, was hit with a slew of charges for the incident, including felony extortion of property by force or threat, several gun charges and possession of a controlled substance. <br>Following the traumatic event, sources close to Vargas revealed that Geraghty had allegedly been extorting her: “He became obsessive with her and would show up at places and come by her house randomly,” one insider shared. <br>“He asked her for money all the time, so she gave him a little money, but then [he] threatened to start extorting her.”</p>

<p>When the alleged extortion began to worsen, Vargas involved police. <br>“She called the police yesterday, so police start monitoring the house, and he shows up,” the insider explained last Wednesday. <br>“He runs in the house, holds her hostage, has a gun. When [police] realized he pulled a gun out, they raided.” <br>The Orange County District Attorney&#8217;s Office says he previously punched her in the face, and fired a gun into the ceiling while she hid in a closet. <br>Geraghty remains in custody awaiting his next court date. It&#8217;s unclear how the pair met. </p>

<p>Vargas only appeared on the Real Housewives of Orange County for one season. ;During her brief stint on the show, she was accused of lying about her finances and lifestyle by cast-mates. ;<br>She also claimed on the show to have been born into a cult, and said she was the victim of childhood sexual abuse. ;<br>After last week&#8217;s stand-off, Vargas was seen outside the home laughing and joking with a male friend. ;<br>She was then seen the night after the incident, dining at upscale restaurant Nobu with her management team. ;<br>Her management company DWE posted a paparazzi photo of the outing on Instagram along with the caption: &#8216;It’s just a numbers game from here on out.&#8217; ;<br>Geraghty pled guilty to burglary in 2008 and being a felon in possession of a firearm in 2016. ;If convicted, for the current charges, he faces up to 75 years in prison.</p>
