<p>A Houston woman faces three murder charges over claims she took out a hit on her married ex-girlfriend, then watched as an assassin murdered the woman, her husband and their six year-old daughter. ; ; ;<br>Alexus Williams, 29, was arrested on Thursday on three counts of capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the June 2021 killings of her former lover mother-of-four Donyavia Lagway, 29, her husband, Gregory Carhee, 35, and their six-year-old daughter daughter, Harmony Carhee.<br>In the murder for hire plot, Williams is believed to have ordered the hit, which was executed by Xavier Davis, 28, after Lagway ended their relationship to return to her husband, according to police.<br>The slain couple&#8217;s 10-year-old daughter was gravely wounded but survived by playing dead, and comforted her one-year-old brother until help arrived.<br>Master mind Williams was on FaceTime with the hired killer and may have witnessed the executions in real time, Prosecutors said. ;</p>

<p>In July, Houston police arrested Davis on charges of capital murder and aggravated assault for his alleged role as a hitman in Williams&#8217; murderous plot. <br>Harris County prosecutors said Lagway had an extramarital affair with Williams, but the mom-of-four had broken up with her in mid-June and reconciled with her husband, reported ;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.khou.com/article/news/crime/alexus-chenelle-williams-charged-triple-murders-carhee-family/285-1af744b4-400c-4dd2-86d6-7555d167ed5f" target="_blank">KHOU11</a>.<br>About a week after the split, the scorned lover allegedly decided to take her revenge by hiring Davis to exterminate Lagway&#8217;s family. ;<br>Williams allegedly incentivized the gunman with the promised Davis that there were several thousands of dollars inside the victims&#8217; apartment in the 12100 block of Fondren Road and told him he could keep all the cash he found. <br>&#8216;It was simply greed for Xavier Davis,&#8217; ;Prosecutor Sean Teare told ;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/2022/03/03/charges-filed-against-woman-accused-in-murders-of-couple-child-killed-in-home-invasion-as-10-year-old-plays-dead/" target="_blank">Click2Houston</a>.</p>

<p>Investigators said a 10-year-old girl told relatives a man knocked on the door of her family’s home, and when her father answered, he came inside. <br>The girl&#8217;s The father, Gregory Carhee, mother Donyavia Lagway, and her 6-year-old sister, Harmony, were all fatally shot.</p>



<p>Teare added that there is evidence that Williams was on the phone with Davis during the murders and watched a portion of the massacre, or its bloody aftermath, on FaceTime. <br>Teare said it was even possible that she talked to the victims before they were executed one by one after being lined up on the couch. ;<br>A family member said Lagway and Carhee&#8217;s 10-year-old daughter, Lyric, was struck by gunfire and pretended to be dead until the killer left.<br>Despite her injuries, she was able to lock the door, grab her baby brother, who had been thrown across the room by the gunman, and call her grandmother for help.</p>

<p>Investigators said from the beginning that they believed a second suspect was involved. And they suspected it was Williams after learning about the affair.<br>But it took them months to crack her cell phone and then more time to sort through everything on it. ;</p>

<p>The orphaned survivor, who is now aged 11, has undergone multiple surgeries to repair damage to her arm and elbow, and is being cared for by her two grandmothers. <br>Lagway and Carhee also had an eight-year-old boy, who was not at home at the time of the murders, and the mom-of-four had just learned that she was pregnant with her fifth child, according to relatives. ;<br>Williams made her initial court appearance on Thursday, during which a judge declined to set a bond for her release, and also barred her from contacting the victims&#8217; family members, after learning that the suspected mastermind of the murder-for-hire plot attended the funerals of her ex-lover, her husband and daughter, reported ;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://abc13.com/alexus-williams-charged-houston-family-murder-parents-and-6-year-old-killed-xavier-davis-accused-of-killing-couple-daughter/11617475/" target="_blank">ABC13</a>. <br>Davis also remains jailed without bond pending his next court appearance set for March 23. ;  ;</p>
