a boy and girl&comma; were also stabbed during the brutal attacks&comma; but survived&comma; reports said&period; <br>According to police&comma; the male assailant barged into a home on Hedden Terrace in Newark&comma; around 3&colon;55 p&period;m&period; on November 6&comma; 2016&comma; and attacked the six people inside&period;<br>The motive behind the murder spree police said&comma; was that one of of the stabbing victims allegedly&comma; had reposted a police alert on Facebook that named Arrington as a suspect in an earlier shooting and sexual assault case&period;<br>In November 2016&comma; an enraged Arrington broke into the Whitehurst residence with a loaded gun before tying up everyone in the home&period; Arrington had also been wanted on charges of sexual assault and aggravated assault for an unrelated incident back in October 2016&comma; a month before the murders&comma; Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A Murray said at a news conference shortly after the stabbings&period; <br>He was eventually taken into custody within hours&comma; after a standoff with police&period; Multiple SWAT team members responded after being told that Arrington was barricaded inside a building in Newark&period;&nbsp&semi;&nbsp&semi; <br>At the time&comma; Newark Mayor Ras Baraka had called the attack &&num;8216&semi;one of the most tragic and savage&&num;8217&semi; he&&num;8217&semi;s seen&comma; offering a &dollar;20&comma;000 reward for information leading to Arrington&&num;8217&semi;s arrest prior to his capture&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
