<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Following the discovery of a missing Florida woman&#8217;s remains buried in a shallow grave in Alabama ;over the weekend, police revealed that the ex-boyfriend sent text messages to the woman&#8217;s family members after her disappearance a week ago, claiming that she had asked him to &#8216;drop her off in the middle of nowhere.&#8217; ;<br>Law enforcement officers recovered the remains of 37-year-old Cassie Carli on Saturday night in a barn in Springville, Alabama, located some 300 miles away from Navarre Beach, Florida, where she was last seen alive, supposedly to collect their daughter from her ex, scheduled for a public setting. ; ;<br>Spanevelo reportedly, has ties to the property.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Marcus Spanevelo, 34, Carli&#8217;s ex-boyfriend and the father of her four-year-old daughter, Saylor, was arrested in Tennessee on Sunday ;on charges of evidence tampering and giving false information. More charges are pending for Spanevelo following the results of the autopsy, according to authorities.<br>Spanevelo arrest comes almost a week after Carli from Navarre, Florida went to see him in Tennessee ;nearly a week after she went to see him to pick up their four-year-old daughter, Saylor. <br>After his arrest her family said they were &#8216;relieved&#8217; and hoped to find &#8216;more answers.&#8217; ; </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spanevelo was arrested in Lebanon, Tennessee, around 10 a.m. on Saturday and has been charged with tampering with evidence, giving false information concerning a missing person investigation and destruction of evidence. ;<br>&#8216;Spanevelo was arrested based on a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes warrant which was signed by a judge,&#8217; the ;Santa Rosa County Sheriff&#8217;s Office wrote in a press release.<br>&#8216;We are cautious as to the information being released due to the sensitivity of this case.&#8217;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">According to text message and ;<a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/facebook/index.html">Facebook</a> ;messenger exchanges between Spanevelo and the family prior to the discovery of Cassie Carli&#8217;s body, the he&#8217;d claimed that his ex had been &#8216;acting crazy&#8217; and asked him to drop her off somewhere in Destin, Florida, where her friend lived.<br>Raeann Carli, Cassie&#8217;s younger sister, reached out to Spanevelo on Facebook last Tuesday, asking about her niece, reported ;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.q13fox.com/news/missing-florida-mom-cassie-carli-felt-extremely-unsafe-around-childs-father-before-disappearance-sister" target="_blank">Fox 13.</a> <br>&#8216;Is Saylor with you?&#8217; she wrote. &#8216;Please Marcus [sic]&#8230;this is NOT like my sister! Spanevelo allegedly told Andrew Carli that Cassie had asked him to &#8216;drop her off in the middle of nowhere in Destin&#8217; so that she could stay with a friend.<br>Andrew replied that the woman he was referring to, &#8216;moved to Alabama a while ago. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Detectives from Santa Rosa County traveled to Birmingham, Alabama, on Wednesday and located Marcus Spanevelo and his daughter, Saylor, four, three days after the girl&#8217;s mother, Cassie Carli, vanished in Navarre, Florida, located more than 260 miles away. ;<br>Authorities said the former couple&#8217;s child is &#8216;safe&#8217; and &#8216;search efforts for Cassi Carli remain underway.&#8217; ; he Maury County Sheriff&#8217;s Office in Tennessee said the father has been booked into jail. ;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Carli&#8217;s car was located on Tuesday in Navarre with her purse inside, raising concerns for her well-being, Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson said during a press conference on Thursday, adding that there has been no activity on the missing woman&#8217;s phone or credit card since Sunday. ; ;</p>

Nearly four hours after leaving home on Sunday to pick up Saylor, her father, received text messages from his daughter&#8217;s phone, telling him that she was having problems with her phone and her car.<br>Carli never made it home that night, and she was still missing the following day, Monday, when her father came home from work he discovered that his daughter has not returned. ; ;<br>That evening, nearly 24 hours after her last sighting, Andrew Carli contacted the authorities and reported his daughter missing. ;<br>Santa Rosa Sheriff&#8217;s deputies located Carli&#8217;s vehicle on Tuesday morning at Navarre Beach, but she was nowhere to be found. Her purse was discovered inside. ; ;</p>
