<p>In a brazen and callous disregard for onlookers, two gunmen wielding assault rifles opened fire at a busy Philadelphia gas station on last week Monday, killing a young father in broad daylight. <br>Father-of-one Brandon Dixon, 30, was targeted by the two shooters as they drove up to the Liberty forecourt in east Mount Airy, north Philadelphia on May 5. <br>After identifying Dixon, they leap out of the vehicle and spray him with assault rifle bullets<br>Surveillance footage shows three men drive up to the gas station in a red sedan. <br>They watch Dixon pump gas into his silver SUV before two balaclava-clad figures leap out of the red vehicle with assault rifles, firing at least 25 times at their fleeing target.</p>

<p>In the footage released by Philadelphia police, the victim can be seen in the footage sprinting from the gun toting pair as they open fire, but was still struck several times. <br>Police said he suffered several gunshot wounds to both the head and face. ;<br>An arrest has yet to be made in the brazen noon-time shooting &#8211; which happened around 2:30 pm. Surveillance footage shows Dixon, a local high-school basketball standout who leaves behind a five-year-old daughter, ;walk out of the gas station&#8217;s store and approach his silver SUV parked at a gas pump. <br>As Dixon stands at the pump, a red sedan driven by a third person aiding the ;assailants suddenly ;pulls into the gas station driveway, at which point the two shooters &#8211; both dressed in black &#8211; can be seen springing from the rear seat before opening fire.</p>

<p>The slain victim, ;Brandon Dixon, 30, was targeted by the two shooters as they drove up to the Liberty forecourt in east Mount Airy, north Philadelphia on Monday. <br>The security video shows the two men firing the barrage of bullets at a fleeing Dixon, spurring ;others outside the station to jump for cover.<br>No one else was injured in the incident, cops said. ;<br>Police searching for the suspects Monday discerned that one of the gunmen appeared to be armed with an AK-47 rifle, while the other looked to be firing a handgun with an extended magazine clip.<br>&#8216;The offenders fired multiple shots at the victim, striking him throughout the body,&#8217; lawmen said in a statement addressing the shooting in West Oak Lane &#8211; a neighborhood where roughly 95 percent of its 41,000 residents are African-American. <br>&#8220;We know 25 shots were fired because we found a little over 25 spent shell casings. Some appear to be rifle rounds. There are at least 20 bullet holes to the glass door of the convenience store,&#8221; said Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Small. ;<br>Police are offering a reward of $20,000 for any information which leads to an arrest of the three suspects. ;</p>

<p>Brandon&#8217;s mother Lisa Dixon, who is now looking after his daughter Jordan, five, told ;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.fox29.com/news/video-man-killed-in-brazen-shooting-at-busy-philadelphia-gas-station" target="_blank">FOX 29</a>: &#8216;I feel like my heart has been snatched out of my body. <br>&#8216;I don&#8217;t know who&#8217;s raising these children but they don&#8217;t care. They have nothing in them. And they took my baby&#8217;s life.&#8217;<br>The talented basketball player, who won prizes as a student at Plymouth Whitemarsh High, had no involvement in crime, Lisa insisted.</p>

<p>Lisa Dixon continues, &#8216;I would put my hand on the bible my son &#8211; that one &#8211; was not into anything. He was not. &#8216;Jordan said: &#8220;I&#8217;m not gonna see my dad anymore.&#8221; And I told her: &#8220;He&#8217;s here with us, he&#8217;s always gonna be here with us. <br>&#8216;&#8221;Everything&#8217;s gonna be all right, we&#8217;re gonna get through this.&#8221;&#8216; <br>Jordan simply said: &#8216;I love my daddy.&#8217; <br>The two shooters remain at large.</p>
