<p>A former Metropolitan police officer reportedly lost her job after claiming she didn&#8217;t know her husband was a major drug dealer.<br>Met officer Rasvinder Agalliu, 47, enjoyed a lavish lifestyle involving a $6,186 [ £5,000] per month rental property and homes in the upmarket Hadley Wood enclave of Barnet, north London, an $87,000 [£70,000], Audi, and a lot of designer clothes.<br>The a mother-of-three was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply the drugs after police searched her two London properties in 2020.<br>An officer for almost 20 years, PC Agalliu claims to have joined the Met at the age of 17, before she was given immediate dismissal recommended by a police misconduct panel on Tuesday.<br>The role of her husband Julian Agalliu as a major drug dealer who used the criminal app Encrochat to deal cocaine and cannabis, had been uncovered, UK authorities said. Agalliu, who claimed to work in ballet as an “artist”, suggested he had been “set up”, but his defense wilted, faced with overwhelming evidence of his drug operation during the trial.<br>His narco connection was uncovered when the National Crime Agency infiltrated the dark net communications system Encrochat and uncovered messages from his handle, &#8216;Nicemoon&#8217;.</p>

<p>The messages discussed gun deals and parcels of cocaine weighing 100kg, which had been disguised to look like the watchmaker brand Hublot, so police conducted a raid at Agalliu and Julian&#8217;s home in Enfield, north London in June 2020.<br>On October 25, 2020, officers also executed a search warrant at a former address of PC Agalliu. Cops found a there was a bowl of cocaine next to the bed Julian Agalliu shared with his wife, PC Rasvinder Agalliu. Other items seized include police issue body armor, a set of handcuffs, items of uniform and a set of case papers and interview discs relating to PC Agalliu&#8217;s investigation of an offence.<br>Meanwhile, officer Agalliu claimed that she believed her husband could bankroll their expensive lifestyle because he was working as a private chef in professional soccer players homes, where she said he earned between $1,237 [£1,000] and $4,948 [£4,000], a week. <br>“He would work weekends and sometimes after training he would go to their houses to cook. He was paid in cash,” she responded.</p>

<p>Detectives found cocaine, digital scales, and more than $33,400 [£27,000], in cash. Evidence of cocaine was also found on Agalliu&#8217;s David Lloyd gym card, as well as in a Louis Vuitton box, and a Met radio which had been assigned to a former officer was found in Agalliu&#8217;s handbag. A bowl of cocaine was also sitting on the bedside table in the couple&#8217;s bedroom.<br>Agalliu claimed the radio had been reassigned to her without the name being changed, and insisted she didn&#8217;t know about the cocaine, which was found in the bedroom, because she didn&#8217;t sleep in there.</p>

<p>The case was taken to a disciplinary tribunal, and Agalliu ended up being fired from the force because they didn&#8217;t believe that she didn&#8217;t know about her husband&#8217;s operation.<br>The tribunal claimed her defense lacked credibility, and concluded she &#8216;must have been aware&#8217; of one or more of the illicit items in her home. They determined she was &#8216;more likely than not to have had a good idea&#8217; about how her husband got his money, especially as he failed to pay tax on his income.<br>Explaining their argument, the tribunal concluded: &#8220;The clear inference we draw from the evidence presented is that on the balance of probabilities, [Julian Agalliu] is a class A drug user and is measuring drugs and it is inconceivable his wife would not know.”<br>The tribunal also referred to the couple using cars worth $309,280 [£250,000], their monthly rent of $6,186, and ownership of property worth $2.23 million [£1.8 million].</p>

<p>Former officer Agalliu did not face any criminal charges, but she was found guilty of several charges of gross misconduct and sacked, <br>Agalliu, from Hadley Wood, denied all charges but was convicted of conspiracy to supply class A drugs, conspiracy to supply class B drugs, possession with intent to supply cocaine, and possession of criminal property. Sentencing is scheduled for February 9, 2023.<br><span style="font-size: revert; color: initial;">Daniel McNeil-Duncan, from Brentwood in Essex, who had been in regular contact with Julian Agalliu on EncroChat, pled guilty to two counts of conspiracy to supply drugs shortly after the trial began.</span> </p>
