<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The attempt by a man to rob a business on Christmas morning in Gainesville, Georgia went askew when he slipped on a patch of ice while trying to make his get away.<br>Gainesville police say it was &#8216;like a scene from Home Alone.&#8217;<br>Luis Sajbocho-Ordonez, 30, allegedly hid behind the business brandishing a gun, demanding cash from an employee who exited the rear of the building early Sunday morning. <br>It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday behind the business on 415 Atlanta Highway. <br>As Sajbocho-Ordonez tried to flee the scene, only to slip on ice, sustaining serious injuries. <br>His injuries are being compared to Marv, a character in the movie Home Alone who famously slipped on ice while trying to break into the McCallister&#8217;s house in the 1990s Christmas classic. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Sunday, Sajbochol-Ordonez was treated at the scene by EMS and then hauled off to the Hall County Jail where he was charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault. <br>Police said additional charges are possible. <br>Gainesville Police released more information on their <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.facebook.com/GainesvillePoliceGeorgia/posts/pfbid084W8XSY8sQvXHRz45UtgJRXQtAJsmGHMeu7D5KFmuouXXDT1DqDQacntnHdKFKGZl" target="_blank">Facebook page</a>, describing the incident &#8216;like a scene from Home Alone.&#8217; </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Police said that the attempted robbery led to a physical altercation between Sajbocho-Ordonez and the employee, who was not named. <br>Another employee exited the building, spooking Sajbocho-Ordonez, who fired a shot. No one was hit or injured in the incident.<br>As Sajbocho-Ordonez tried to make a getaway, he slipped and fell on a patch of ice and hit his head and face, police said. <br>Witnesses were able to get two guns away from him while he was on the ground, police added. <br>&#8216;Fortunately, no serious injuries occurred and the perp went to jail,&#8217; the Gainesville Police Department said in a Facebook post. </p>
