<p>Gauteng pastor Siva Moodley was finally buried 579 days after he died. <p>.<br>The 53-year-old Moodley the founder of <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://web.facebook.com/DrSivaMM/photos" target="_blank">The Miracle Center</a> in the north of Johannesburg.<br>Moodley who reportedly, proclaimed that he could raise people from the dead, died after falling ill.<br>The body of Siva Moodley had been lying at the Martins Funeral Home in Fourways, Johannesburg since his death on August 15, 2021.<br>A year into the storage, fears were raised that there could be a health risk, depending on the level of decomposition the body has reached. A body that has to be kept for that long a period needed to be embalmed, according to inside sources.</p>

<p>According to reports, his family and members of the church used to visit the funeral home to pray for his resurrection. <br>It was reported that funeral home manager Martin du Toit lodged an application with the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court to grant him permission to have Moodley buried or cremated.<br>He said they were forced to approach the Master of the High Court in Johannesburg to get an order to have him buried: “We are awaiting that decision and hope to have him buried by the end of this year. The family last came to the funeral home within three to four weeks after his death to sign paperwork to register his death at Home Affairs,” Du Toit said..<br>Du Toit said they also had not received any payment for storing the pastor&#8217;s remains.</p>
