<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nima Momeni, the man accused of murdering Cash App founder Bob Lee appeared in a San Francisco court today as more details surrounding the case against him emerged. <br>Lee was <a href="https://konniemoments.com/2023/04/05/tech-executive-and-cashapp-creator-bob-lee-43-stabbed-to-death-in-downtown-san-francisco/">murdered in the early hours of April 4</a> while visiting San Francisco from Miami, where he moved last year with his family. <br>Prosecutors have charged Momeni, an IT entrepreneur, with his death. He is the older brother of Khazar Momeni, known as Tina to her friends, who had a close friendship with Lee. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The suspect who made his <a href="https://konniemoments.com/2023/04/14/nima-momeni-38-appears-in-court-charged-with-knifing-to-death-cash-app-founder-bob-lee-after-argument-in-car-spilled-out-onto-san-francisco-street-at-230am-pair-allegedly-argued-over-victim/">first court appearance on April 14</a>, was was due to be arraigned today April 25, but his attorneys successfully pushed for an extension. <br>His defense attorney Paula Carney has indicated that her client will plead not guilty when the time comes, but that they haven&#8217;t yet been shown prosecutors&#8217; evidence against Momeni. <br>He is due back in court next week. <br>More than a dozen of Lee&#8217;s relatives &#8211; including his children &#8211; were in the courtroom today for the hearing, but Momeni&#8217;s sister, who showed up in support last week, was noticeably absent. </p>

A previously-filed court motion says the trio were &#8216;drinking&#8217; at his home. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The man in question has not been named. <br>The apparent connection to drugs ties into an earlier claim that Lee argued with Nima Momeni about Khazar hours before the stabbing. <br>It was claimed by friends that Nima was concerned his sister was wrapped up in a bad crowd and had been using drugs.<br>Lee, according to the friends, assured him she was not. <br>Robert Canny, an attorney spoke on behalf of Khazar Momeni and her husband at her brother&#8217;s first court appearance.</p>

There isn&#8217;t enough [to hold him].<br>&#8216;My client is a super nice person, his family loves him and supports him. <br>&#8216;There&#8217;s so much more to this, a much greater back story than what has been disclosed at all in the government&#8217;s pleading,&#8217; Carney said in an interview with NBC News. </p>
