New Hyde Town Supervisor Al Torreggiani told the Poughkeepsie Journal that officers began wearing body cameras in March 2022, a month before the shooting.
Torreggiani said that he felt as the Kemlage would be cleared of any wrongdoing because Feith had a knife.
‘It’s tragic no matter what, and the officers have to come to grips with it. It’s not an easy thing to pull that trigger and take a life,’ Torreggiani told the newspaper.
