40&comma; was also charged with aggravated assault&comma; three counts of neglect of a care-dependent person&comma; and three counts of reckless endangerment <&sol;strong><&sol;h2>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<h2 class&equals;"wp-block-heading has-text-color" style&equals;"color&colon;&num;2e2323&semi;font-size&colon;14px"><strong>She is accused of administering lethal doses of insulin to three men at Quality Life Services in Chicora&comma; 40&comma; from Natrona Heights&comma; Pennsylvania&comma; was charged on Wednesday with two counts of homicide&comma; in connection with the deaths of two men one 55 another 83&period;<br>Pressdee was also charged with the attempted murder of a 73-year-old man&comma; one count of aggravated assault and three counts of neglect of a care dependent person and three counts of reckless endangerment&period; <br>The deranged murders took place at the skilled nursing facility in Chicora where Pressdee worked&period; Pressdee was a registered nurse working at Quality Life Services &lpar;QLS&rpar;&comma; a retirement nursing facility&comma; in Chicora&period;<br>Investigators said the victims had been under Pressdee&&num;8217&semi;s care when they received overdoses of insulin that caused medical emergencies for all and two deaths&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<figure class&equals;"wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;konniemoments&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2023&sol;05&sol;Quality-of-Life-Services-Chicora-PA&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" class&equals;"wp-image-441464" width&equals;"841" height&equals;"452"&sol;><&sol;figure>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"has-small-font-size"><strong>Heather Pressdee had worked at numerous other health facilities but had to be fired or disciplined due to abusive behavior before she ended up at Quality of Life Services&comma; &lbrack;photo&rsqb;&comma; in Chicora<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Pressdee is also said to have been disciplined for abusive behavior towards patients and&sol;or staff at 11 health facilities since 2018&comma; and she had either resigned or been fired from those&period; <br>The two men died on Dec 4&comma; 2022 and Dec 25&comma; 2022 and the victim who survived was administered a potentially-lethal dose of insulin on Aug 31&comma; 2022&period;<br>The affidavit obtained alleges that Pressdee gave lethal doses of insulin&comma; a hormone used to reduce levels of blood sugar in people with diabetes to her victims&period; <br>The 55-year-old and the 83-year-old had become ill while in Pressdee&&num;8217&semi;s care in November of last year&period;<br>According to the affidavit&comma; the two men had been &&num;8216&semi;suite mates&&num;8217&semi; with their rooms connected via a Jack and Jill bathroom&period;  <br>On the same night&comma; both men had to be sent to the hospital for the same condition&comma; hypoglycemia&comma; within thirty minutes of each other&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<figure class&equals;"wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;konniemoments&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2023&sol;05&sol;image-60&period;png" alt&equals;"" class&equals;"wp-image-441467" width&equals;"836" height&equals;"501"&sol;><&sol;figure>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"has-small-font-size"><strong>The incidents occurred at the Quality Life Services in Chicora while Pressdee was looking after the men<&sol;strong><em><strong> <&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The two men later died as a result of this&comma; and one nurse practitioner who was interviewed by police said in her thirty years of experience she had never seen anything like this&period; She recalled a conversation with Pressdee&comma; the suspect told her the 83-year-old victim would be &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;better off dead&period;”<br>The nurse also said that Pressdee had told her one of the men &&num;8216&semi;would be better off dead&period;&&num;8217&semi; <br>The 73-year-old man who survived was also under Pressdee&&num;8217&semi;s care at the care facility and was allegedly given an overdose of insulin&comma; despite not being diabetic&period; <br>According to the affidavit&comma; the man started to have seizures and suffered from severe hypoglycemia shortly after Pressdee provided direct care to him&period;<br>When police interviewed Pressdee at her home on Wednesday&comma; she allegedly&comma; admitted to injecting two of the victims with insulin&comma; hoping &&num;8220&semi;they would slip into a coma and just pass away&comma;&&num;8221&semi; the affidavit said&period;<br>She told officers that the surviving victim&comma; who had been in COVID isolation&comma; asked Pressdee to &&num;8216&semi;kill him&&num;8217&semi;&period;<br>Pressdee also told investigators that she felt bad for the two men who later died and that their &&num;8216&semi;quality of life was not good&&num;8217&semi; Pressdee by the Attorney General’s Office include alleged illegal activity that occurred at our QLS Chicora facility&period; <br>&&num;8216&semi;We will continue to fully cooperate with the Attorney General’s Office as needed in the investigation and prosecution of this matter&period; <br>&&num;8216&semi;We can assure our community&comma;
