<p class="wp-block-paragraph">An Idaho man appeared in court Tuesday accused of shooting dead his four neighbors after he became enraged at the teenage son of the family performing a sex act within sight of a window.<br>Majorjon Kaylor, 31, who has &#8216;savage&#8217; tattooed above his eyebrow, reportedly told police he &#8216;lost it&#8217;, and acted to protect his three young children.<br>On Sunday evening he became embroiled in an argument with the teenager&#8217;s mother.<br>Kenna Guardipee, 41, lived in the Kellogg, Idaho, home with her teenage sons Devin and Aiken Smith, aged 18 and16. Her 65-year-old father Kenneth Guardipee, lived in the home as well.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Five days before the shooting, police were called to the Guardipee&#8217;s home after Kaylor reported Devin Smith had exposed himself to his wife, Kaylie, and daughter.<br>A few days earlier, Kaylor’s wife, Kaylie Kaylor, posted on Facebook that Devin Smith had exposed himself to her young daughters on June 13. She also said he could be seen through a window masturbating in front of them, according to court documents.<br>She said they reported the incident to police, who investigated.<br>A family friend of Smith, Katy James, told<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2023/jun/20/kellogg-man-faces-four-counts-of-murder-for-killin/" target="_blank"> The Spokesman-Review</a> that Devin Smith had a learning disability and struggled socially, but had been getting help through a program at school.<br>A classmate, Daisy Sawyer, told the paper he had harassed her at school and was known to be inappropriate.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kaylor came home from working in a mine Sunday evening and confronted Kenna Guardipee, angry that her son was unlikely to face further punishment for his acts.<br>Kaylor then shot the mother in the head, as well as her father and two sons.<br>Police responded to reports of shots fired at a duplex at 515 W. Brown Ave around 7:20 pm on Sunday.<br>Shortly after the first call, a second call came in reporting that someone had &#8216;executed his neighbors,&#8217; according to court documents.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Investigators found a .45 caliber Hi-Point semi-automatic pistol with what appeared to be blood on it in a truck parked in the duplex&#8217;s driveway, according to court documents obtained by The Spokesman-Review.<br>Kaylor told police that he &#8216;snapped&#8217; and &#8216;lost it&#8217; over the dispute, saying he had spoken to Kenna Guardipee and her father, but was upset that they did not appear to take his concerns seriously.<br>His wife told investigators he &#8216;said he did what he had to do, and to tell their kids he protected them.&#8217;<br>She added that she overheard him saying he had killed four people.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Video surveillance from a nearby business captured the argument and subsequent shooting, according to court documents.<br>Officers arrived at the duplex to find the Guardipee family dead outside their ground floor apartment with gunshot wounds to their temples.<br>Aiken Smith was found inside the home with a gunshot would to his temple. Devin Smith was found behind a bedroom door on his knees face down with multiple gunshot wounds to his head.<br>All the victims were shot at close range.<br>According to his public defender, Kaylor who works at a local mine, has lived in Shoshone County his whole lifer has a nonviolent or criminal history, with a handful of misdemeanor driving infractions and one drug possession case that he pled down to a misdemeanor.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Tuesday, Kaylor appeared in court in Wallace, Idaho &#8211; 50 miles east of Coeur d&#8217;Alene &#8211; in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs.<br>Prosecutor Benjamin Allen said Kaylor confessed to the shooting when interviewed by police.<br>&#8216;Admissions were ultimately made to the offenses charged,&#8217; Allen said.<br>Allen said the killings were done in a &#8216;horrific manner.&#8217;<br>Magistrate Judge Keisha Oxendine did not set bond and Kaylor will continue to be held in jail with the next hearing set for July 3.</p>
