<p>A British businessman has shot and killed his TV star wife and himself in a tragic murder-suicide at their home in Turkey on Tuesday, June 11 in a tragic murder-suicide. <br>Comedian Victoria Vera Blyth, 40, was killed after she was shot by her husband at their home in Turkey&#8217;s capital city, Ankara. David Thomas Blyth, 53, then turned the gun on himself. <br>The couple who shared three children in their ten year marriage were in the midst of a row over Victoria&#8217;s texts when the shooting happened.<br>The family resided in Ankara where Scotland born business tycoon David Blyth ran his international oil firm, ASG Inspection. His glamorous wife Victoria Blyth presented the Morning Show on Europe 2 alongside Czech broadcaster Leoš Mareš.<br>The couple&#8217;s children, aged four, ten and 14, have been placed in the care of Victoria&#8217;s family, who traveled to Turkey following the tragedy.</p>

<p>No one else was injured during the deadly incident, which stemmed from a heated argument over the presenter&#8217;s texts, according to local media reports.<br>David and Victoria Blyth who got married in 2014 and lived together in Prague for several years before moving to Turkey in 2019 after Blyth&#8217;s work took him to the Middle East. <br>Victoria who on social media described herself as being &#8220;half Turkish, half Czech, half South African&#8221;, was born in South Africa before moving to the Czech Republic as a teenager with her family. <br>The glamorous on air personality studied music at university, back in the Czech Republic before the fame came with the release of her first album as a 20-year-old in 2004. </p>

<p>Her sister, Alexandra, wrote a tribute to her sister on Instagram, and revealed her family had only recently buried their father. <br>The post read: &#8216;It is with deep sadness and pain that I have to announce that my beloved and beautiful sister, the sunshine of our lives who brought us so much joy, with her laughter, positive spirit, drive and energy, has left us forever. <br>&#8216;Please, I&#8217;m begging you all, give us time for the sake of the children.<br>&#8216;My family is going through a very difficult time because they lost both parents. We recently buried our father and now our sister and brother-in-law and we need time to recover, but most of all we need to be here for the children.<br>&#8216;We really appreciate your beautiful messages, but in these difficult times we need time to breathe.&#8217;</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size"><strong>The murder-suicide reportedly stemmed from a heated argument over the TV presenter&#8217;s texts which ended with the couple both being killed. Blyth&#8217;s family, will be taking his body back to Scotland. Victoria&#8217;s body remains in Turkey</strong> </p>



<p>As the investigation continues David Blyth&#8217;s remains are said to have been handed back to his family, who are taking them back to Scotland. Victoria&#8217;s body, meanwhile, remains in Turkey. <br></p>
