<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A man shot his girlfriend and her two teenage sons, killing one of the victims, in New York&#8217;s Westchester County, on Monday. The 40-year-old Chilean immigrant then sparked a manhunt that forced a school district to close before he was nabbed Tuesday.<br>Fernando Jimenez <a href="https://abc7ny.com/post/westchester-county-crime-2-juveniles-woman-injured-shooting-somers/15483603/">reportedly</a>, shot his 39-year-old girlfriend, Christina Raimondi, and her boys &#8211; Michael, 15, and 13-year-old Mathew &#8211; in a townhouse near the Crossroads Plaza on Route 6 in Somers, in West Chester County, NY, around 11:30 p.m. Monday<br>Two of the victims were rushed to Westchester Medical Center and brought the third to New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, where Raimondi&#8217;s elder son died.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Jimenez fled, and New York State Police put out a shelter-in-place order for Westchester County, forcing the Putnam Valley School District to close Tuesday as officers searched for the trigger-happy killer, a Chilean national, sources said. <br>New York State Trooperss caught up with the suspect about 11 a.m. Tuesday after a local realtor decided to check on her office after hearing that the fugitive was running loose in the area. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Patricia Schiller, a retired NYPD detective, now a realtor, said when she noticed something strange: Her office’s air conditioner unit, normally lodged in the side window, was laying on the ground. And the blinds were completely drawn. <br>“We never put the blinds the way he had them,” she said. “He put everything down so nobody could see in. It didn’t feel right,” Schiller said. Checking her interior surveillance camera, she could hear someone breathing and moving around.<br>Armed with these clues she contacted a state trooper who was sitting at a nearby intersection.<br>“I said, ‘Listen to me, call you gotta call, but I’m 99.9% shot that the guy who shot the three people is in my office right now,’” Schiller said.<br>The trooper started for the building, but Schiller stopped him.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Family friend Nicole Pagliaro started a <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-christina-and-matthew-overcome-tragedy?qid=eee881e8920b18d4ac00a64e799b15b6">Gofundme</a> page to help the Raimondi family with medical bills and funeral arrangements. The online fundraiser which has already raised more than $120,000 of the $400,000 goal.<br>“As Christina fights for her life, she faces the unimaginable reality of having to bury her child,” Pagliaro wrote, adding that Raimondi is a “loving, devoted mother who has always put her family above all else.<br>“Their road to recovery will be long, arduous, and filled with immense challenges,” she said of the two survivors. <br>“Together, they’ve shown remarkable strength and resilience, but they cannot face this alone.”<br>Jimenez was charged Tuesday night with second-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder and a weapons charge.<br>He faces life in prison, if convicted.<br>Schiller, for her part, is just happy that she got to the office before any of the 12 real estate agents who works for her.</p>
