<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The wife of a judge in Southern Illinois has been accused of fatally shooting him inside their home earlier this week.<br>Megan Soo Valentine, 44, was arrested on Tuesday for the death of Circuit Judge Michael J. Valentine, who was found dead outside their County Road 600 home in Albion, about 270 miles south of Chicago, according to an <a href="https://isp.illinois.gov/Media/CompletePressRelease/2052?fbclid=IwY2xjawGa7gtleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHUE3cqRp2NaiCSxc2CdHMvrp_NyvfsxWsJ2GlcsCRCD9bKJ4U-dCUk8Pvw_aem__4c0oYxJkkrTO4CvR08t5Q" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Illinois State Police</a> statement. <br>She was taken into custody after Edwards County Sheriff’s deputies found Michael Valentine, 41, dead with gunshot wounds outside their home in Albion, state police said. <br>Charges were filed in connection to the judge&#8217;s death on Thursday, against Megan Valentine.<br>The Sheriff’s Office asked the state police to lead the investigation into Valentine’s death. Charges were filed against his wife on Thursday, state police said.</p>
