A Florida man fatally shot himself in front of his children after he was pulled over by cops, wanted on child pornography charges.
Kissimmee man Luis Valentin, 48, was a suspect in a Florida child pornography case and was pulled over while driving near Orlando on Wednesday around 6.30pm.
Kissimmee Police officers who got Valentin to stop hadn’t realized he had children in the car at first.
After pulling the kids, ages 7 and 11, out of the vehicle, officers turned to then face Valentin.
But he pulled out a gun and shot himself.
His ex-wife Ana Valentin was also present at the Wednesday shooting.
‘He always said that before he would be in jail he would kill himself,’ she said to WFTV.
Cops stressed that officers did not open fire and the only shot fired in the incident came from Valentin’s gun.

His ex-wife Ana Valentin said he previously swore he’d kill himself before going to jail.
‘That’s chilling right there. It’s sad to see something like that happen, you know,’ resident John Martinez.
Officers said no one else was injured in the shooting.
One officer who was responding to the incident was involved in a car accident where his patrol car flipped over, leaving the cop suffering minor injuries.
