<p>Horrific video has emerged showing the moment a Las Vegas showgirl was knifed to death in the street in her red feather outfit during a mass stabbing.<br>Maris Mareen DiGiovanni, 30, was killed in on October 6, 2022 rampage along with Brent Allan Hallett, 4, who was visiting from Alberta Canada.<br>Prosecutors have charged a 34-year-old employed man, Yoni Barrios, for their murder as well as injuring six others, many of them showgirls. </p>

<p>The suspect who was seen in Los Angeles soliciting employment from strangers two days earlier, thought the showgirls were laughing at him and making fun of his clothing before he attacked them, according to the arrest report.<br>He attacked eight people in his rampage, several of them showgirls. Barrios, now 34, was indicted in on terror charges and murder charges among others after a grand jury was shown the harrowing footage, <a class="" href="https://www.8newsnow.com/investigators/video-shows-mass-stabbing-on-las-vegas-strip/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">8 News Now</a> reports.</p>

<p>The video shows the suspect sprinting down the Vegas strip with a large kitchen knife in hand.<br>As he approaches DiGiovanni he plunges the weapon into her, sending her sprawling to the ground.<br>He then runs down Las Vegas Boulevard and sinks the knife into another man in the back.<br>He continues running and stabs a third man who is knocked off the wall he is sitting on.<br>A later clip shows him being tackled to the ground by police inside the Sands Expo.<br>Chilling photographs taken after the attack show DiGiovanni&#8217;s red feathered headress lying on the blood-spattered ground.</p>

<p>Police said the attack began after Barrios approached a group of showgirls and asked them he wanted to photograph them. He reportedly told them he was a chef and wanted to take a picture with the knife.<br>However, thought they were laughing at his clothes and appearance and began &#8216;indiscriminately&#8217; stabbing, according to Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney John Giordani.<br>DiGiovanni who was a teacher in her day job, was part of the Best Showgirls In Vegas modeling and talent agency, according to boss Cheryl Lowthorp. <br>Two other models with the agency were among the wounded while a fourth girl escaped without injury.<br>Prior to the rampage, Barrios reportedly went to the Wynn casino and asked a janitor about jobs. He was also prospecting for a job as a chef.</p>

<p>Barrios also told a casino security guard he was trying to sell his knives that he kept in a suitcase to raise enough money to go back home, although police said his citizenship isn&#8217;t clear.<br>Barrios was charged in 2019 with criminal domestic violence by Los Angeles district attorney Jackie Lacey, who has since left office.<br>Had he been convicted, Barrios would likely have been imprisoned and deported. Lacey failed to bring the case to court in time, and after 90 days elapsed the judge was forced to dismiss the case under California speedy trial laws, according to court records.<br>Barrios was also prosecuted for driving dangerously and without a license in Riverside, California in 2016.<br>After his arrest on Thursday Barrios told detectives he was from Guatemala and wanted ICE to take him home, according to a report released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.</p>
