<p>The family of murdered <a href="https://konniemoments.com/2023/04/05/tech-executive-and-cashapp-creator-bob-lee-43-stabbed-to-death-in-downtown-san-francisco/">Cash App founder Bob Lee </a>is suing his killer and the killer’s relatives, accusing them of attempting to destroy key evidence following the murder.<br>Lee, 43, was repeatedly <a href="https://konniemoments.com/2023/04/14/nima-momeni-38-appears-in-court-charged-with-knifing-to-death-cash-app-founder-bob-lee-after-argument-in-car-spilled-out-onto-san-francisco-street-at-230am-pair-allegedly-argued-over-victim/">stabbed by Nima Momeni</a> near his home in San Francisco on April 4, 2023, and died hours later in hospital.<br>The suspect who was arrested in the killing made his <a href="https://konniemoments.com/2023/04/14/nima-momeni-38-appears-in-court-charged-with-knifing-to-death-cash-app-founder-bob-lee-after-argument-in-car-spilled-out-onto-san-francisco-street-at-230am-pair-allegedly-argued-over-victim/">first court appearance on April 14</a>. </p>

<p>Prosecutors argued that Nima Momeni intended to fatally stab Lee over an argument about his sister, whom Lee knew, and her drug use.<br>Momeni said that Lee attacked him with a knife and that he defended himself and Lee was stabbed.<br>Ultimately Momeni was convicted o second-degree murder in a San Francisco court. He faces 16 years to life in prison, at sentencing which is scheduled for May.<br>Following the conviction, Lee&#8217;s family Friday filled a civil lawsuit against Momeni as well as his mother, sister, brother-in-law and several property management companies, in San Francisco Superior County Court.</p>

<p>The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages for negligence, wrongful death, aiding and abetting, conspiracy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy.<br>The lawsuit accuses Momeni’s relatives tried to sell the vehicle that he was driving when he picked Lee up in on the night of the murder. <br>The filing also states that the respondents deleted information from their cell phones to conceal evidence after the murder.</p>

<p>It also accuses Portside Homeowners Association and Securitas Security Services of improperly releasing the disturbing security footage showing Lee’s final moments as he staggered down the street bleeding.T<br>Those images the suit claims, caused the deceased&#8217;s two children significant emotional distress. <br>Lee had created the mobile payment service Cash App and was the chief product officer of the cryptocurrency MobileCoin when he died.<br> He had recently relocated to Miami from San Francisco and had returned to California for a visit when he was killed.</p>
