<p class="wp-block-paragraph">FBI arrested Milwaukee County circuit judge Hannah Dugan on Friday for allegedly helping an undocumented migrant evade arrest.<br>Judge Dugan, 65, appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Stephen C. Dries during a brief hearing in a packed courtroom at the federal courthouse. Dugan made no public comments during the brief hearing.<br>The Wisconsin Democratic judge authorities allege, obstructed the arrest of an &#8216;illegal alien&#8217; identified 30-year-old Eduardo Flores Ruiz. <br>Dugan was taken into custody Friday at the Milwaukee County Courthouse on Friday and charged with two federal felony counts: obstruction and concealing an individual.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dugan was arrested at about 8 a.m. at the Milwaukee County Courthouse, on Friday and charged with <br>FBI director Kash Patel confirming the judge was in custody said: &#8216;The FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction . . . .after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week. <br>&#8216;We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject to evade arrest.&#8217; </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ruiz, the target of the raid, is now in ICE custody as Patel added, &#8216;Thankfully our agents chased down the perp on foot and he&#8217;s been in custody since, but the Judge&#8217;s obstruction created increased danger to the public.&#8217; ;<br>Agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement [ICE], arrested and detained the Mexican immigrant accused of misdemeanor battery after he appeared in Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan on April 18.<br>Judge Dugan has been <a href="https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/politics/2025/04/23/ice-arrested-mexican-immigrant-after-hearing-before-judge-dugan/83233154007/">accused</a> of hiding the migrant and his attorney in a jury deliberation room. ;<br>But sources told the outlet that after ICE showed up to arrest the migrant, Dugan took him and his lawyer to a side door in the courtroom and directed them to a private hallway into the public area.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The case stemmed from a fight on March 12 between two roommates. Flores Ruiz, from Mexico, was charged with battery in the aftermath of the incident.<br>The charge sheet states that Ruiz punched another person 30 times after they complained he was playing music loudly, then struck a woman who tried to mediate in the altercation. ;<br>Subsequently he appeared before Judge Dugan for a pre-trial conference early on April 18, on three misdemeanor counts of battery.</p>
