FBI arrested Milwaukee County circuit judge Hannah Dugan on Friday for allegedly helping an undocumented migrant evade arrest.
Judge Dugan, 65, appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Stephen C. Dries during a brief hearing in a packed courtroom at the federal courthouse. Dugan made no public comments during the brief hearing.
The Wisconsin Democratic judge authorities allege, obstructed the arrest of an ‘illegal alien’ identified 30-year-old Eduardo Flores Ruiz.
Dugan was taken into custody Friday at the Milwaukee County Courthouse on Friday and charged with two federal felony counts: obstruction and concealing an individual.

Dugan was arrested at about 8 a.m. at the Milwaukee County Courthouse, on Friday and charged with
FBI director Kash Patel confirming the judge was in custody said: ‘The FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction . . . .after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week.
‘We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject to evade arrest.’ 

Ruiz, the target of the raid, is now in ICE custody as Patel added, ‘Thankfully our agents chased down the perp on foot and he’s been in custody since, but the Judge’s obstruction created increased danger to the public.’ 
Agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement [ICE], arrested and detained the Mexican immigrant accused of misdemeanor battery after he appeared in Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan on April 18.
Judge Dugan has been accused of hiding the migrant and his attorney in a jury deliberation room. 
But sources told the outlet that after ICE showed up to arrest the migrant, Dugan took him and his lawyer to a side door in the courtroom and directed them to a private hallway into the public area.

The case stemmed from a fight on March 12 between two roommates. Flores Ruiz, from Mexico, was charged with battery in the aftermath of the incident.
The charge sheet states that Ruiz punched another person 30 times after they complained he was playing music loudly, then struck a woman who tried to mediate in the altercation. 
Subsequently he appeared before Judge Dugan for a pre-trial conference early on April 18, on three misdemeanor counts of battery.
