<p>Movie director Rob Reiner, 78, and Michelle Singer Reiner , 68, were found dead at home in Los Angeles, around 3.30pm on Sunday. Their daughter visiting her parents found both with their throats slashed and pointed cops to a family member.<br>The couple&#8217;s son Nick reportedly, is in custody and has been booked for felony murder after the Hollywood director and his wife were found knifed to death.<br>The couple allegedly had their throats slit after a heated argument with a relative turned deadly at their $13.5million LA mansion on Sunday afternoon. That relative, it is believed, is their 32-year-old son Nick Reiner. </p>

<p>The Los Angeles Fire Department was called out to the Reiner family residence around 3.30pm on December 14, after another offspring found the elderly couple dead inside their home.<br>The couple shared three biological children Jake, 34, Nick, 32, and 28-year-old Romy, as well as Reiner&#8217;s daughter Tracy, 61, from his marriage. Their younger daughter Romy, who lives just across the street, made the discovery when she visited her parents yesterday afternoon.<br>According to police, Romy told them a family member &#8216;should be a suspect&#8217; because they are &#8216;dangerous&#8217;.<br>That suspect who turned out to be her brother Nick, has previously spoken about his struggles with drug addiction. His first stint in rehab was around his 15th birthday. He also spoke about periods of being on the streets homeless. </p>

<p>&#8216;I was homeless in Maine. I was homeless in New Jersey. I was homeless in Texas. I spent nights on the street. I spent weeks on the street. It was not fun,&#8217; he told People in an interview in 2016. <br>Nick like most of the Reiner offspring is involved in the creative arts. A screenwriter, he co-wrote the semi-autobiographical movie Being Charlie about his struggles with drug addiction and the impact it has on a person&#8217;s family.<br>He worked on the film from rehab and collaborated with his dad on the project, which depicts the strained relationship between an actor father and his addict son and tracks closely with the Reiner family&#8217;s own experience, they said at the time.<br>In a 2016 interview while promoting Being Charlie, Nick admitted to the strained relationship with his father when he was younger.</p>

<p>&#8216;It really clicked for me because we didn’t bond a lot as a kid,&#8217; Nick said. <br>&#8216;He really liked baseball, I liked basketball, and he could watch that with my brother&#8230; but I just, when I saw [Reiner direct Being Charlie], it was something that I’m interested in. <br>Nick, who said he had gone to rehab 17 more times as of 2016, also claimed to have lived on the streets after he refused to go back to a rehab program.<br>In 2016, when he was 22, he said that his last rehab stint had been three years prior.<br>Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the death of the Hollywood couple is being investigated as homicide. The suspect who was arrested Sunday night was booked for felony murder Monday morning and held on a $4million bail bond.</p>
