A Queens mom charged with killing her 1-year-old son before trying to slash her own wrists confessed the grisly crime to the toddler’s dad before police showed up.
Nicole Boodhai, 28, who was charged with murder in the death of 15-month-old Charlie Ramraykha on Monday, called the boy’s father and told him what she had done before police arrived, rushed her to the hospital and placed her under arrest.
Boodhai is listed in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center after attempting to slice her wrists with a box cutter during the horrific incident.

NYPD officers investigating after finding a baby boy dead and his mother with slash wounds to her wrists inside a residence in Queens, NYC on Monday, December 29
The baby was found unresponsive inside the bathroom at the home at 157th Street and 108th Avenue in Jamaica, Queens, and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
When officers responding to a 911 call of an assault in progress, arrived at the home in Jamaica, Queens around 1:37 p.m. on Monday, they found little Charlie Ramraykha unconscious and unresponsive, and covered in blood inside the bathroom.
Responding officers found the mother at the scene with self-inflicted injuries. Officers initially believed the child had suffered some kind of slash or blunt force trauma, but once the blood had been washed away, no apparent signs of injury were discovered.
Boodhai lived separately from the child’s father and resided on 155th Street, a few blocks away from where the child was discovered. EMS rushed mother and child to Jamaica Hospital where the infant was pronounced dead a short while later.
The exact cause of child’s death has not been revealed, but his body was transferred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy.
While the motives have not been released, the mother who was listed in stable condition is awaiting arraignment on murder and child endangerment charges.
