<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A yet to be identified man, believed to be in his mid-40s, shot his ten-year-old twin sons inside an apartment in Canoga Park, outside Los Angeles, around 7.15pm on Sunday, before turning the gun on himself, according to the Los Angeles Police. <br>Their death of the trio, police believe, is the result of a murder-suicide, and the father is the suspected gunman.<br>According to investigators, a family gathering &#8211; a birthday celebration &#8211; was taking place at the residence when the children&#8217;s mother heard what sounded like two gunshots. She told police that she ran into a bedroom to investigate, but the boys&#8217; father pointed a handgun at her.<br>The woman was not struck by gunfire. Moments later, the man turned the weapon on himself. police said that all three victims were shot in the head.<br>The man and his twin sons were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.</p>
