New court documents filed in the Payette twins murder case reveal two completely different stories — prosecutors say the infants were smothered, while the defense says they never recovered from routine vaccinations.
Andrea Renee Shaw, 23, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her twins, Dallas and Tyson Shaw, who were found dead in their Payette home in May of 2025.
Last year October Andrea Shaw claimed her 18-month-old son and daughter both died of vaccine injuries. She has since changed her story multiple times during law enforcement interviews, a court heard.
Shaw, who was taken into custody last month just days after giving birth, appeared in an Idaho courtroom on Tuesday where a judge revoked her bond after she was charged with murdering her twin children, who were 18-months-old at the time of their deaths in May 2025.
She then appeared on a podcast ten days after with her husband Nathaniel, claiming vaccines, specifically their Hepatitis A, DTaP, and influenza shots, killed her two children. However, contradicting her version, prosecutors now say both boys were smothered.

During the hearing before Judge Kiley Stuchlik, Payette County Prosecuting Attorney Michael Duke suggested that Shaw was charged with murder after she kept changing her story throughout the investigation, while Nathaniel stuck to a single version of events.
‘There are only two people who could have been involved in this crime. One of them was straightforward and cooperated with law enforcement,’ Duke told the court.
‘The other changed her story every time it made her look bad, every time there were criminal implications, and she admitted that at the time of death, she was there with the kids.’
Duke added that investigators had ruled out environmental causes like heat or carbon monoxide poisoning.

According to the state, Shaw suffocated her children with Duke saying on Tuesday that it was ‘the only reasonable explanation for why both would die at the same time’.
Johnston through her lawyer Joseph Filicetti has denied any wrongdoing.
He previously claimed the suffocation that the twins suffered was actually the result of a vaccine-related reaction.
Filicetti had asked the court on Tuesday to lower the bail amount, which is currently set for $2 million, to $100,000.
He said that this was to allow her to return home and spend time caring her newborn child. That attempt was denied, with Shaw behind bars until further notice.
Shaw is yet to enter a plea, and will not do so until she has reviewed the transcript from the grand jury who indicted her, Filicetti said.

Police found the babies in their shared bed after being called to Shaw’s North 9th Street home after she reported the children’s deaths, authorities said.
Days later, Shaw and her husband, Nathaniel, made an appearance on a show produced by Children’s Health Defense, which is connected to Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.
The Shaws said they had told their doctor that Nathaniel’s family sometimes has reactions to the flu vaccine, but they were told it was perfectly safe for their children to receive their routine shots.

Andrea and Nathaniel Shaw appeared on a podcast last year in which they said vaccines were responsible for the deaths of their toddlers just days after receiving three vaccinations

After the shots, she said: ‘They were okay, they took a nap when we got home. For the rest of the evening it was business as usual.’
Breaking down in tears, she said the next day the two children woke up and that they were both lethargic.
‘[Dallas] looked tired, I changed her diaper, and I noticed the typical toddler pot belly was gone, she was skinny, she looked tired.
‘I moved her out of the way so I could change her brother, she just lay on the carpet and wouldn’t move, her eyes were rolling back as if she was going to sleep.’
Shaw claimed the two both had green diarrhea and a blue tinge to their lips. Her husband Nathaniel said he was at work while the health crisis unfolded.
Medical records said that the boys were diagnosed with ‘post-immunization reaction’ and a fever.
Describing her finding them dead inside their home, she said: ‘They looked as if they had gone in their sleep.
‘I flipped over Tyson to try and shake him awake, then I immediately grabbed my phone to dial 911. Then I flipped Dallas over and found her the same way.’
