Dramatic footage shows the moment a man shot a 16-year-old boy at a gas station in South Memphis. Willis Lee, 33, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection to the shooting, WREG reported.
He told police his car had been stolen twice on Saturday, and he had seen it again with a group of people inside at the gas station.
Lee shot inside the car, hitting a 16-year-old boy in the hip according to authorities.
Surveillance footage shows a man, identified by police as Lee, pulling up outside the gas station in a white car.
The man gets out of his vehicle and fires two shots in direction of the 16-year-old.
His target can be seen frantically trying to run away.
The 16-year-old was taken to the hospital with two gunshot wounds, WALB reported.
He was in critical condition at the time and is now listed as non-critical.
Lee’s car had been stolen twice before the shooting, police say.

‘They had got the car back one time and they went to get a wrecker to pull the car. Whoever had stole the car came back and got it again,’ Lee’s mother told WREG.
The 16-year-old, who has not been named, told officers he had been ‘riding with his buddies’ when an unknown man shot him.
Lee appeared in court on Monday and remained booked in jail at the time.
