A shooting and resulting crash on westbound Highway 4 in Pittsburg, California left one woman dead and a man injured.
Two people that were in a vehicle that was allegedly shot at were transported to the hospital, where a female was pronounced dead and a male is expected to survive.
Both occupants were suffering from injuries as a result of the collision and gunshot wounds, police say.
It is unclear whether the woman died from a gunshot wound or from other injuries sustained in the crash.
The victims were shot by a suspect in another vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 4 and police say it appears to have been a targeted shooting.

The other vehicle involved fled the scene but was reported to be a newer white Mercedes sedan with paper plates, police say.
