Two Western Michigan football players Bryson White, 20, and linebacker Ron George, 18, have been suspended from the team after being arrested for allegedly holding up a female student with a semi-automatic weapon and a knife.

The alleged robbery took place off campus.

“Having heard this news early this morning, I took action to immediately suspend both freshman players indefinitely,” head coach P.J. Fleck said in a statement. “We expect to learn more about these allegations today.
“I’m extremely disappointed and want to assure the community that this kind of conduct is unacceptable and does not represent the values of this team or this university.”

They were nabbed in a car on campus with weapons and stolen money, the Kalamazoo TV station reported.
The two players are being held at Kalamzaoo County Sheriff’s Office.
