Pregnant 12-year-old ‘bride’ (center), with her 40-year-old ‘husband’ ( in the white shirt), as he argues with hospital staff
Questioned by the suspicious hospital staff, the man argued with the staff. He is quoted as saying: “I took her here to be examine, just do your job. Stop asking so many questions.”
The doctors said the girl was three months pregnant and that she needed a routine test to confirm that her fetus was healthy. The doctors immediately called the police when the two adults tried to pass off the girl as a twenty-year-old woman.
the juvenile ‘bride’ did not speak Mandarin, which prevented hospital staff from questioning her about her age.
A staff member said: “She is certainly not anywhere near 20 years old.”

Police found the girl didn’t possess any form of identification and have determined she is not Chinese, but most likely a foreign national from southeast Asia.
Investigators suspect she was either abducted or bought as a foreign bride. There is a history of Chinese men purchasing brides from their southern neighbors, Vietnam.
Police are continuing their investigation.
