A TikTok personality was shot execution-style while recording a live stream in Jamaica early in the week, the fourth in string of hits on social media personalities in the Caribbean nation beginning late 2024.
25-year-old Jabari Johnson, who goes by the handle ‘Baba Skeng’ on social media, was reportedly hit by 15 shots and killed on Monday in Saint Andrew, Jamaica while filming live content with another TikToker.
The streaming footage shows Johnson laughing and talking with his friend just moments before his killer opened fire. The shooter, a southpaw dressed in all black, approaches Johnson from behind before shooting him at close range.
Johnson, struck multiple times in the head and his upper body and falls to the ground. Terrified screams fill the air, as the masked gunman then flees on foot.
Jabari Johnson, the son of reggae star Jah Mason, was pronounced dead at the scene.  
The St Andrew North Police Division have launched an investigation into the homicide.

The brutal attack occurred Monday around 6.30pm near Queenie’s Snack Shop on Red Hills Road.
Johnson had reportedly been livestreaming while playing a game with a fellow TikToker.
His father confirmed to the Observer that his son had been killed, but declined to comment any further as the family is still processing the tragedy. 
His death follows that of three other high profile Jamaican TikTokers who were killed late last year.
In September 2024, Keauno ‘Popsy’ Watson, 23, was murdered by armed assailants.
On December 7, 2024, Xavier ‘Niah Gang’ Fogah, also 23, was gunned down St Catherine. Fourteen days later, Marlon Samuels, known online as ’41 Busshead,’ was fatally shot on December 20, 2024 in Montego Bay.
The reasons for the killing remain unknown with some of the local opinion suggesting the killing could be gang related.
