<p>Questioned by the suspicious hospital staff, the man argued with the staff. He is quoted as saying: “I took her here to be examine, just do your job. Stop asking so many questions.”<br />
The doctors said the girl was three months pregnant and that she needed a routine test to confirm that her fetus was healthy. The doctors immediately called the police when the two adults tried to pass off the girl as a twenty-year-old woman.<br />
the juvenile &#8216;bride&#8217; did not speak Mandarin, which prevented hospital staff from questioning her about her age.<br />
A staff member said: “She is certainly not anywhere near 20 years old.”</p>

<p>Police found the girl didn’t possess any form of identification and have determined she is not Chinese, but most likely a foreign national from southeast Asia.<br />
Investigators suspect she was either abducted or bought as a foreign bride. There is a history of Chinese men purchasing brides from their southern neighbors, Vietnam.<br />
Police are continuing their investigation.</p>
