<article id="ra-body">Denver Broncos linebacker, Von Miller is hoping to stop the distribution of a sex tape he filmed with a Los Angeles woman, Elizabeth Ruiz, while vacationing in Cancun. A report from <a href="http://thesmokinggun.com/documents/sports/von-miller-sex-tape-632954">The Smoking Gun</a> said the 27-year-old Denver Broncos star is trying to get a restraining order that would prevent Ruiz from selling or exploiting the tape she made of their consensual sex.<br />
Los Angeles based Elizabeth Ruiz, described as a Cuban born aspiring actress/model, filmed their liaison with her phone and reportedly offered to“to transfer ownership of the recording” to Miller for $2.5 million.<br />
Miller&#8217;s attorneys last week petitioned a Los Angeles judge to issue a restraining order barring the 25-year-old former Hooters waitress from selling or commercially exploiting the tape.<br />
Los Angeles Superior Court judge, Amy Hogue , put a temporary restraining order in place stopping Ruiz from making copies, releasing or distributing the tape. Miller fears if the tape gets out it would hurt his appeal to “many different people from virtually all walks of life including families and children.”</p>

<p><a href="http://thesmokinggun.com/documents/sports/von-miller-sex-tape-632954">The Smoking Gun</a> reports that the court filing stated Miller and Ruiz, an aspiring model/actress, “engaged in consensual intercourse” on vacation in Cancun this past June. The court filing states that Miller “engaged in consensual sexual intercours<a href="http://thesmokinggun.com/file/von-miller-case?page=3">e”</a> with Ruiz, an aspiring model/actress, while vacationing in Cancun in late-June. Accompanied by a couple of male friends, Ruiz, and several other women, Miller rented Villa Albatros, an 11,500-square-foot beachfront residence. Instagram photos show Miller, Ruiz, and the other vacationers frolicking, engaged in aqua sports, else lounging poolside.<br />
Miller was aware that Ruiz was filming the moment, but asked her to keep it private. At a later date he asked her to delete it to which she replied with “Gotcha.”<br />
However, three months, Miller’s representatives were contacted and told that Ruiz wanted to distribute the sex tape and become “the next Kim Kardashian.”<br />
In mid-September, two months after Miller’s $144 million contract was announced&#8211;a representative for the football player was contacted by Kevin Blatt, an L.A. based sleaze peddler who has brokered the sale of numerous celebrity sex tapes. According to Blatt, Ruiz had sought his assistance in selling her tape, adding that she wanted to become the next Kim Kardashian.<br />
Miller who is coming off one of his best seasons and was a crucial part of the Broncos winning the Super Bowl last season has been mindful of what the expose could do to his commercial viability.<br />
Days after being contacted by Blatt, Miller’s agent received a letter from Corey Boddie, a lawyer representing Ruiz. Boddie subsequently met with Miller’s representatives and showed them portions of the recording of Ruiz having sex with Miller in Cancun.</p>

Boddie was quoted describing his client as “itchy” and someone who “could care less” about the law.<br />
In response to the large monetary demand and the threat to release the sex tape, Martin Singer, one of Miller’s lawyers, “told Boddie that Ruiz’s demand was extortion.” On October 20, the filing states, Boddie contacted Singer to say that he was no longer representing Ruiz. Ruiz apparently dumped Blatt earlier in October.</p>
