A man accused of murdering and dismembering a girl he met on the dating app, Tinder, because she refused sex and then attempting to dispose of his victim by dumping her dead body in acid has been caught after a major manhunt, in Mexico.
Emmanuel Delani Valdez Bocanegra, 26, was quizzed by police when friends and family of 26-year-old student, Francia Ruth Ibarra, who was reported missing in Leon, central Mexico.
Investigators found the remains of human bones in trash bags on Bocanegra’s apartment balcony beside canisters of caustic soda and hydrochloric acid.

6 kilograms of human flesh retrieved from the bones were a DNA match with the victim, her clothes were found hidden in a bag inside the apartment.
The pair had met through the dating app Tinder and had then met several times over the few months before Ibarra disappeared on December 3. She was supposed to meet a friend at the cinema that day but didn’t show up. Her friends at the University of Guanajuato backtracked her social media postings and found she’d been dating Boncanegra, a former student. She had never introduced him to them and he reportedly avoided meeting her friends and family.
Bocanegra reportedly murdered his date after she refused to have sex with him and dissolved her body to create the impression she had run away. Police tracked him to Mexico City where he was arrested.
