Ohanian, 33, of Brooklyn, didn’t add much more to the news, simply sharing the Reddit link to his Facebook page with three simple words: “She said yes.”
The superstar athlete and techie were first reported to be dating back in late October 2015 and have rarely been public with their relationship.
It was reported by Us Weekly in October 2015 that  Williams had met her new beau at a lunch. It was further reported that the tennis superstar was ‘making love part of her routine, bringing her new guy [Alexis Ohanian] to her workout at the Los Angeles School of Gymnastics’. An onlooker, had observed that  “He called her babe and they held hands.”

A public relations employee for Reddit also tweeted the celebratory news.

“Eeeeeep, so happy for @alexisohanian and @serenawilliams as they start this new adventure together,” Diana Chow wrote. “Congrats!”

Serena’s fiance is a Brooklyn resident who graduated in history from the University of Virgina in 200. He co-founded Reddit in 2005 with Steve Huffman, but left the website in 2007,only to return full-time in 2015. He also helped launch Hipmunk, a travel search website, and Breadpig, which creates geeky products and donates the proceeds to charity.
Ohanian who also co-founded Initialized Capital published his book titled “Without Their Permission: How the 21st Century Will Be Made, Not Managed” in 2013. His personal credo is “making the world suck less.”

Ohanian stood by Williams’ side at Wimbledon. On Instagram at the time, he wrote, “”Our queen stopped by center court today,” he wrote. “So proud of you, @SerenaWilliams. 22 looks good on you. #Wimbledon.”
