Vang Allegedly was targeting his 41-year-old wife, who worked at Marathon Savings Bank. The shooting rampage which resulted in the death of  four people started there, around midday.
The shootout ended at an apartment complex where Vang shot and killed one more victim, detective Jason Weiland.
The estranged couple share six children between them, but after two decades of marriage Vang’s lawyer, David Casey, filed for divorce on June 20, 2015.
A hearing was scheduled for next month, on April 28. The bitterly contested divorce, was scheduled to be finalized later,  in early June of this year, but not soon enough.
The acrimonious courtroom wranglings apparently, had stripped the pair of cordiality, as well as, their finances.
Records show a long history with money problems for Nengmy Vang, the suspect. Between Aug. of 2009 and as late as March of 2016, Vang and in some cases his wife had accumulated a total of $38,306.75 in wages garnished after five different civil lawsuits.
