Joseph Clark of Vail, in Puma County, Arizona, [left], called 911 on Friday, and told dispatchers that his wife had ‘electrically tortured him’ and that as a result he had killed her. He is facing two murder charges after allegedly killing his wife and unborn child

A 49-year-old Arizona man murdered his heavily pregnant wife inside their home at the weekend, then called police to turn himself in. According to the court documents he claimed he resorted to violence in retaliation.
Joseph Clark is facing two murder charges after police say he killed his wife Noelle Clark, 39, and her unborn child inside their Vail home on Friday night.
Responding deputies found Noelle unresponsive, bloodied and covered by a blanket in the garage of their home
According to the probable cause statement, Joseph Clark called 911 and told dispatchers that his wife had ‘electrically tortured him’ and that as a result he had killed her.
According to the police report, two children, two and five, were found unharmed inside the home while Noelle was found in the garage covered by a blanket.
The body showed signs that she had been beaten. She had also suffered clear blunt force trauma to her head.
As deputies swept the home, they found a bloody kitchen knife inside the children’s bedroom where they also found a pool of blood.
Officers observed a number of construction nails having been lodged in the door of the children’s bedroom, as well as drag marks across the staircase.
The statement said these marks trailed throughout the home to the garage where Noelle was found.
Officers inspected her body and found that she was pregnant and estimated that she was in her 2nd or 3rd trimester.
They also noticed tire marks on her arms and bloody tire marks on the floor of the garage, which they said ‘indicated that her arms were ran over by a vehicle.’
The statement added: ‘There is also a deep penetrating laceration in the middle of [Noelle’s] chest on her inner left breast.
‘There are 2 marks on [Noelle’s] back that match a belt that was found in a children’s bedroom with a raised bed.’
When questioned, police noted in the statement that Clark made ‘excited utterances’ that he had been ‘tortured shocked over a couple of years’.

As he was placed under arrest for two counts of murder, Clark allegedly told officers: ‘I was shocked, that’s what caused.’
He then stated that his eyes were cracked from being shocked in his own household, adding that his teeth popped out as a result of the alleged torture.
Despite his claims however, the officers noted, there were no ‘visible or obvious injuries’ on the self-confessed killer.
Police also spoke with Clark’s brother, who said that he had been contacted by his brother who asked for help, a message which he found rather odd, as his brother rarely ever invited over to his home, but when his sibling failed to respond to his inquiries, he came over to the address, only to find police already on the scene.
He confirmed that his sister-in-law was pregnant and said she was due soon.
Appearing in court in Puma County earlier this week, Clark was held on a $1,000,000 bond and is expected back in court later the month.
According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department both children are currently in the custody of the Arizona Department of Child Safety, while the case remains an active and ongoing investigation.
