<p class="mol-para-with-font">A man shot his wife before turning the gun on himself in a &#8216;domestic-murder suicide&#8217; in Ellicott City, Maryland. police said.<br />
n Ellicott City man allegedly killed his wife and then himself in a &#8220;domestic murder-suicide&#8221; outside their home late Monday night, Howard County Police said Tuesday.<br />
Police said Samuel Lancelotta and his wife, Beth Lancelotta, both 48, were found in the back yard of their home in the 4600 block of Sheppard Lane about 10:40 p.m. after one of their sons called 911 to report a shooting.</p>

One of their teenage sons called 911 after discovering the aftermath of the double killing.<br />
All three of the couple&#8217;s teenage children were at home when the shootings happened, police have said.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Howard County Police said the couple died after the shooting at 10.40am on Monday.<br />
They were taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center by helicopter, the <a class="" href="http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/howard/ellicott-city/bs-md-ho-ellicott-city-murder-suicide-20170516-story.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Baltimore Sun</a> reports, but medics were unable to save their lives.<br />
Police spokeswoman Sherry Llewllyn said there was no obvious motive for the murder suicide, and added that there are &#8216;no indications that anyone else was involved in the incident&#8217;<br />
A handgun was recovered from the scene in Ellicott City.<br />
Mr Lancelotta and his wife, both 48, were co-owners of Clarksville-based Lancelotta Real Estate.<br />
The company&#8217;s website boasts that it has represented clients in the purchase, sale or lease of more than $1billion of commercial real-estate.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8220;This very much appears to be a domestic situation where a husband shot his wife, then turned the gun on himself. We don&#8217;t know what the motive might have been. There is no indication anyone else was involved,&#8221; Llewellyn said.<br />
The Lancelotta reportedly, were a well-known couple in Howard County.<br />
Samuel Lancelotta served as a managing partner at Premier Medical Management as well as general manager of Lancelotta Realty, which lists Beth Lancelotta as the person to contact.<br />
Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman, who knew the couple,told <a class="" href="http://www.wbaltv.com/article/ellicott-city-man-woman-die-in-apparent-murder-suicide/9660078" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WBALTV</a> Tuesday was a sad day for Howard County:&#8221;Both Beth and Sam have been friends of mine for a long time. I liked them both. I woke up to the news this morning like many others in Howard County. I was shocked and saddened,&#8221; Kittleman said.<br />
He said the couple had held campaign fundraisers to support them, and said his thoughts went out to their children.</p>
