<p>An 85-year-old widower ended up bankrupt after he sought companionship with a woman on a dating app after his wife died.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">John Berman met 49-year-old Nancy Guy when he joined a dating app in April 2013 in Pembroke Pines, Florida.<br />
She had introduced herself as Anna Miller and told Berman that she needed money for a dress-making business.<br />
Guy allegedly defrauded the widower out of more than $300,000.<br />
She promised to pay him back but she always made excuses, including that she had cancer and that her warehouse was flooded and had destroyed $400,000 worth of merchandise.<br />
Guy mysteriously vanished after Berman&#8217;s son filed a police report in 2015 when he realized his father&#8217;s pending bankruptcy.</p>

Police finally caught up to Guy on Thursday and she was arrested.<br />
Pembroke Pines Police captain Christopher Sengelmann believes Guy may victimized other men between 2013 and 2015.<br />
He urged anyone who may have been a victim to contact police.<br />
Authorities said there was no evidence Guy owned a dress-making business.</p>
