A bigamist and one of his wives have been indicted on multiple counts of capital murder, including the death of his other wife and unborn baby.
Christopher Matthew Henderson, 42, and Rhonda Jean Carlson, 44, were charged two years after his wife Kristen Henderson was found dead in New Market, Alabama.
Found dead alongside Kristen on August 4, 2015, was her son Clayton Chambers, eight, her mother Carol Smallwood, 67, and her one-year-old nephew Eli Sokolowiski.
Henderson was indicted on 19 counts of capital murder and Carlson was indicted on 18 counts,On July 28, according to court records.

Kristen was nine months pregnant with a girl she planned to name Loryn Brooke Smallwood.
Police said Henderson and Carlson killed Kristen and her four family members before setting fire to Carol Smallwood’s home.
Kristen was either shot to death or stabbed multiple times, according to the indictments obtained by AL.com. Clayton was stabbed to death and Carol Smallwood was shot to death using a .22-caliber gun.

Henderson and Carlson allegedly cut his unborn baby out of Kristen’s womb before stabbing the girl multiple times, court documents state.
Sokolowiski was also stabbed, but it was determined he died of asphyxia during the fire, according to investigators.
Henderson and Carlson were both indicted on 18 counts of capital murder. Henderson received an additional charge for violating a protection order.
Kristen Smallwood Henderson was the second of Christopher Henderson’s two wives, the couple having married on Sept. 26, 2014. They were in the midst of a divorce at the time of the slayings. Kristen Henderson had learned her husband also was married to Carlson.
He had filed for divorce from Kristen on July 14 and Kristen filed a protection-from-abuse order, claiming he had hit her.
Kristen Henderson was also granted an order of protection based on her testimony that he had hit her.
‘He has lied about everything since we met,’ Kristen wrote in the filing, according to WAFF.
She also petitioned the court to withdraw the divorce based on the fact that Henderson was still married to his first wife – making their marriage illegal.

Henderson wed Kristen in September 2014 in Fayetteville, Tennessee. He wed Carlson a year earlier in February 2013.
Authorities theorize that Henderson and Carlson went to Carol Smallwood’s home, where Kristen was living, and murdered the family before setting it ablaze.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, relatives of Kristen showed them surveillance footage that showed Henderson and Carlson entering the home.
Carlson was wearing gloves in the footage and carrying a gas can, according to investigator Eugene Nash Jr.

Both were caught on camera leaving the house before it began to go up in flames.
The family members had accessed the footage from their cellphones. Kristen had installed the camera just a week before after obtaining the protective order.
A backpack that Henderson had carried when he came home the day of the fire was found in his mother’s home with a lock pick and duct tape inside, Nash said.
Investigators also found a .22-caliber rifle in Carlson’s Jeep, as well as ammunition, a pistol, and other evidence, he testified.
Both Carlson and Henderson have been behind bars since they were arrested in August 2015. They are being held without bond.
