<p>The pregnant New York teen shot in the head twice on a Brooklyn street, early Sunday is expected to survive, after a life-saving four-hours of surgery her family said Monday. Her unborn child is expected to survive as well.<br />
“She’s OK. They took the fragments off the brain and they said she was going to be alright and the baby is doing good,” said her mother, Ruth Sparks<br />
&#8220;The baby is fine, strong heartbeat. The baby is still with her.&#8221;<br />
It has been touch-and-go since Sunday afternoon when her pregnant daughter, Tytianna <a href="http://konniemoments.com/2017/09/11/pregnant-teen-tytianna-sparks-in-critical-condition-after-being-shot-in-the-head-in-brooklyn-ny-sunday/">Sparks, 19, was shot</a> on Dean St. near Howard Ave. in Brownsville, Brooklyn by a man who is still being sought. Sparks, who witnesses said may have been headed to a corner store dressed in pink slippers, unintended stepped into the line of fire as a male was targeted by the shooter in the early morning drive-by, police said.<br />

<p>EMTs transported the expectant teen to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where she underwent cranial surgery said to have lasted more than four hours, her mom and her older sister Corinne Sparks, said Monday. She is now in critical but stable condition. Sparks is five months pregnant with her first child</p>

<p>Ruth S[arks, 59, said her daughter had been scheduled to find out the sex of the baby on Monday. Meanwhile her dad William Sparks is hoping for a quick arrest. “I just want my fellows over there to do their job,” he said. “We&#8217;re holding on as a family because we&#8217;re a strong family.”<br />
A crucial video of the incident obtained by police from a nearby store shows Tytianna Sparks and a friend crossing Dean St. street as a man stands outside a nearby building.</p>

<p>A silver car with tinted windows pulled up. Sparks dropped to the ground from the 12:40 p.m. gunfire. The man suspected to be the target ducked onto his hands and feet, before taking off in a westerly direction on Dean Street as the silver car sped away on the opposite direction.<br />
Police believe the man who ducked gunfire was the target, and authorities are analyzing the video from a store in a bid to identify the shooter.<br />
He was described by witnesses as black, with a medium build, wearing a black hoodie, a white T-shirt and ripped blue jeans. Investigators at the scene found a 9-mm shell casing, a bullet and a bullet fragment.</p>
