<div>An 18-year-old woman from Michigan accused of raping a young man at knifepoint earlier this year was given five years probation and 25 years on the sex offender registry, it was learned on Monday.</div>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Lestina Marie Smith, of Saginaw Township, was 17 when the rape occurred on January 11. She was sentenced on Monday.<br />
According to <a class="" href="http://www.mlive.com/news/saginaw/index.ssf/2017/11/woman_18_accused_of_raping_man_1.html#incart_most-read_" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">MLive.com</a> Smith pled no contest to one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, a 15-year felony. Presiding judge, Andre R. Borrello, also ordered Smith to undergo sex offender treatment.<br />
On Jan 11, Smith, then 17, allegedly raped a 19-year-old man at knife point. She was arraigned Jan. 17, on two felony counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Each charge carrying a maximum punishment of life in prison.<br />
The defendant was facing the charges following the the Jan. 11 incident in Saginaw Township where she allegedly held another Saginaw teen at knife point and engaged in oral and vaginal sex with him.</p>

The victim sent a letter to the judge asking him not to send Smith to prison, according to Smith&#8217;s attorney.<br />
James Gust also said that Smith had no prior criminal record, a key factor in the judge&#8217;s decision to show leniency.<br />
&#8216;Never in dealing with her, never did she appear to be someone who is a threat to society,&#8217; he said.<br />
The charges stem from an incident that took place on January 11 in Saginaw Township involving Smith and a 19-year-old male.<br />
According to the authorities, Smith pulled a knife on the victim and forced him to engage in oral and vaginal sex with her, reported<a class="" href="http://www.mlive.com/news/saginaw/index.ssf/2017/01/female_17_charged_with_knife-p.html#incart_most-read_" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"> MLive.com.</a><br />
The incident took place in the driveway of Smith&#8217;s step-sister.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Gust said the dispute was over the existence of a sex tape.<br />
&#8216;He allegedly had a sex tape that he was going to put out on social media,&#8217; Gust said.<br />
&#8216;She wanted to make one with him so that she would have one to keep him from putting his out there.&#8217; Smith eventually deleted the sex tape, her attorney said.<br />
Smith and her victim had dated for about two months in 2016.<br />
The man testified that once he arrived in the driveway on January 11, Smith got in his car, berated him, and took out her cell phone and began recording.<br />
She reportedly, started to punch her victim before pulling a steak knife from her sleeve.<br />
Smith then stabbed the man in the arm and poked him under the eye with the knife, according to his testimony.</p>

He testified that Smith took his phone and keys &#8211; preventing him from calling for help.<br />
Smith then told him to go into the back seat with her. At knifepoint, she forced him to perform oral sex on her as she recorded the act.<br />
According to the police reports, after the coerced sex acts, all recorded by Smith, the knife wielding attacker proceeded to slash up the interior of the car, including the seats and dashboard, with the knife.<br />

The victim has not been named due to the sexual nature of the crime, and no additional details about the suspected assault have been released by police.</p>
