<p>A convicted serial killer claims there are more victims beyond the seven he was convicted of murdering. In a jailhouse letter, former South Carolina real estate broker, Todd Kohlhepp, said federal investigators either rebuffed or didn’t care.<br />
“Yes there is more than seven,” the former real estate broker said in an eight-page letter <a href="http://www.goupstate.com/news/20171209/serial-killer-todd-kohlhepp-claims-to-have-more-victims" target="_blank" rel="noopener">to the Herald-Journal</a> in Spartanburg, S.C.<br />
“I tried to tell investigators and I did tell FBI, but it was blown off. It’s not an addition problem, it’s an multiplication problem.”<br />
The expose dated Nov. 28, is one of the first statements Kohlhepp, 46, has made since pleading guilty in May to the slayings, which went as far back as 2003.<br />
In May he received seven consecutive life sentences plus 60 years on murder, sexual assault and kidnapping charges.<br />

Kohlhepp&#8217;s sequence of unsolved murders came to an end when Kala Brown, a woman he kept chained in a locked shipping container, was rescued by authorities in November 2016.<br />
The body of her 32-year-old boyfriend, Charles David Carver, was one of three police discovered on Kohlhepp&#8217;s Spartanburg farm property, after rescuing Brown.</p>

<p>But Kohlhepp, 46, wrote he wasn’t giving up where his other victims were stashed because no one seemed to care.<br />
“At this point, I really don&#8217;t see reason to give numbers or locations,” he said.<br />
Kohlhepp would regularly brag to Brown that he’d killed nearly 100 people, she told “Dr. Phil” in February.<br />
Kohlhepp confessed he was the shooter who killed four people at a motorcycle shop in Spartanburg County in 2003. He also admitted to killing a couple, Johnny and Meaghan Coxie in December 2015. Kohlhepp in his letter said he hadn’t “acted out” for three years before killing the married couple.</p>

the contents of his letter is in contrast to a statement by his lawyer said in May that Kohlhepp “has come clean” to all his misdeeds, a confirmation that his client&#8217;s list of victims was limited to the seven listed t the trial.<br />
The FBI’s local office in Columbia, S.C., is looking into the killer&#8217;s claim.<br />
“We can’t comment specifically on what we’re doing, other than what I’ve said before &#8211; that we have a pending investigation,” said Don Wood, an official at the bureau’s Columbia office.</p>
