The “skeletonized” remains of a young Florida mom who disappeared before a child custody hearing last year were discovered not far from where she was last seen.
Destiny Lee Aaron, 21, was reported missing in April after she left a Hudson home following a fight with her boyfriend and never returned, according to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said Aaron was at a party on Placid Road in Hudson and left the party in the early morning hours of April 1.
The last people to see Aaron were those at the party – Someone saw her near her home off East Road near Ithica Avenue, just after midnight, April 1.
Her boyfriend told her father the two had a fight and she walked away.
Three days after vanishing, she was scheduled to attend the final custody hearing for her two-year-old daughter, but never showed up to court.
While her parents admit to past drug use by Destiny, they can’t fathom she would abandon her daughter Vanessa. Her mother, Karen Aaron, told local news outlets she didn’t believe Destiny Lee would abandon her child.
“She wouldn’t leave her,” her mom told news station WFLA in a May interview. “She’s a gorgeous little girl. She misses her momma.”

Detectives believe the missing woman was intoxicated when she left the party and left on foot. Her body was later found approximately a half a mile away from the address where she was last seen.
Authorities responded to a report on Dec. 26 about remains in a wooded area about a half a mile from where the missing woman vanished.
Using dental records, investigators were able to confirm the remains were the 21-year-old mom.
News station WFTS reports detectives saying the body had been decomposing for eight months and was “skeletonized” when it was recovered.
The cause of the death has not been determined.
