A pair of suspected package thieves in Bothell who starred in a viral surveillance video catching them in the act then one getting injured in the getaway have been arrested, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said.
Police in Washington have arrested the two suspects in connection to viral surveillance video showing one thief injuring her ankle while trying to run away with a stolen package, Komo News reports.
David Ababneh shared footage from his home security camera that showed a car pulling up outside of his house on Jan. 26. A woman is then shown jogging up to his porch, where she grabs three packages.

Takes a tumble that leaves her with a badly injured ankle, she can’t stand up. She cries out for help
Her male partner comes out from the getaway car and picks her off the lawn
During her hurried attempt to run back to the car, the woman drops a box and when she tries to bend over to pick it up, her feet slip out from under her on the wet grass of the front lawn, leaving her with an injured ankle.
As she sat incapacitated on the ground, she called out to her accomplice who was driving the car. He gets out wearing a Seattle Seahawks jersey, and goes over to the woman, eventually having to pick her up and carry her back to the car.
He still had the presence of mind to return and grab the stolen goods.

Ababneh said one of the stolen packages was an expensive box of medicine.”Gotta love Karma though, serves them right,” Ababneh said.
The woman was identified Monday, and both suspects in the video were arrested Tuesday according to Courtney O’Keefe with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. Details about the arrest haven’t been given yet.
O’Keefe said two reports of package theft were filed from that neighborhood Friday.
